We are all aware of how obsessed everyone on the internet is with cats. Dancing cats, grumpy cats, cute cats, all have thousands (if not millions) of adoring fans from all over the world. Manggo is no exception to this rule.
Part of a Japanese trio, Manggo is a chubby cat that currently has 302k followers on their Instagram page. Even though the account also features Manggo's friends and family Boss and Coco, this adorable cat is definitely the one in the spotlight. Why you might ask? According to her Instagram page, Manggo is a "dieter" who's on a strict cat diet. The social media page also show's the cats weight loss progress with the most recent updates saying that the critter went from 6.7kg to 6.5kg. We wish this hilariously funny cat the best in her (and her owner's) attempts!

Really glad to hear that they are addressing the weight issue! So much weight can give cats all kinds of really nasty and painful (and fatal) diseases.
Came down to the comments to say that I hope the owners are helping the cat lose weight, since it isn't healthy for a cat to be this size. Glad to hear she is a diet cat though, I'll have to start following, since I follow Bronson and Bella already with their journeys, and I find it fabulous to see the progress! I hate that people glorify fat cats, or any animal, simply on the factor of "awww such a chonk! so cute!" I mean, of course Manggo is cute, but she'll also be suffering with more weight on her than is healthy.

My cat is 9,5 kg but doesn't look as fat as Manggo! :)
