Who is better to understand a cat owner than another cat owner? Compared to other pets, felines are quite something and if you just got one, well, you won't be the one setting boundaries. You'll be the one obeying your new master. Cody Stone Stowe got a cat a couple of years ago and he started making comics about them at the same time. Naturally, cats and comics go together like HBO's Game of Thrones and disappointment, so Coral, his little furball, soon became the star of his series.

"In 2016, living in my own home, I thought it was time to get my first pet," Cody told Bored Panda. "A cat was always ideal since they seemed to be low maintenance (only slightly true). Coral was the first cat we picked up to hold, she climbed on my back, scratched the hell outta me and from then on, she owned me."
I mean the cat is the queen here she can execute you if she wants......
"I never knew that cats had such a sarcastic personality on 'em. They have so many looks that reflect human ones that I get quite the kick out of seeing on a funny cat. Slow glazed blink. Eye rolls. Side eye. There was so much there, and from that, so much to draw from."
imagine having four of them looking at the same spot. we get so freaked out!
Cody began making his animal comics the same year he got Coral. "A coworker at the coop I was working at commented on how I was wasting my drawing talents at work on the whiteboard." And that was enough to get him going. "Originally, I wanted to animate on YouTube, but that idea came right when the YouTube format pretty much moved toward making long format videos the only viable career. Of course, I still wanted to animate but I also wanted it to be a career I can live on, and the financially viable career just wasn't there for me. So I decided to try comics on Facebook. Started the page WeFlaps and just started posting comics. It was at no cost, no worry of copyright, and didn't take a long time to illustrate. After the summer, somehow the page had gained fifteen thousand page likes and it had only grown from there. Added a way for fans to support me with a merchandise store and it has become a full-time job for me ever since!"
"When I initially started making comics, I had been following The Oatmeal comics by Matthew Inman. The humor was right up my alley and it also revealed to me that comics don't have to be incredibly detailed or realistic. In fact, making it more simple can often add humor to the piece. My early comics reflect his style but later, I had moved on to more bold lines, a little more detail and color. I was just getting bored with the white blob characters. I had tried many different styles in between but finally found a consistent style my audience and I enjoyed."
OMG they just lay there and stare at you. we kick them out and close the door while doing that. all we see is little claws under the door
"Going forward, I'm hoping to expand the WeFlaps brand to things outside of cat behavior comics. Comics with me as the main character, maybe get into animation, Twitch streaming of sorts, and who knows what. Though I'll still maintain the comics about Coral because she's a limitless inspiration. Even though I've had her for three years now, there are always new surprises every week from her and I look forward to many more years of surprises."
yes! and my black cat does it as the butt crack of dawn so i can't see him hiding in the shadows
Our cat likes to lay on top of you, even if you're laying on your side.
Things like this come from either being too playful with them as kittens or not playful enough as adults. If you play with your kitten using your hands and body, he will always think they are toys. It’s nothing horrible but not the best idea either.

I saw this happen once but a girl was sitting on a table dangling her feet, the cat was under said table. It all happened so fast that I couldn't warn the girl before realizing what the cat was about to do. The funny part was that the girl's reaction was to jerk her feet out forward and the cat was just a kitten; cat learned about physics that day and went flying across the room.
Thankfully mine only go under the beds to hide from loud noise or one goes under to hide from the other, neither attack is my feet, thank God, cuz I hate that feeling
when my 19 year old is hungry, I get the warning meow, then I get the warning look....and then you know the nip is coming!
One of my teenage friends had a black cat that did exactly this, but only when you least expected it. Yikes.
Staring is agressive behaviour to cats, always make sure you slow blink when looking at your cat!
we bought the robot litter...Such a life saver, not only for the clean up but for the smell
my cat does that but when he is on the ground he flips around on his back and playfully bites and claws and my arm. He doesn't like to play on a regular basis.
Every time I come back from work, from shop, from walk, from anywhere..
Or just comes and lays down on my laptop keyboard, no matter I work

I serve 5 cats rescued from the streets of the Bronx. I can verify the accuracy of these comics...
The illustration shows a box that's too small for the cat. Ideally it should be 1.5 times the length of the cat's back. Mind you, if you have a very long cat like our male, you might have to search a bit for one big enough. (Gannet Boy measures 35" from tail tip to nose tip.)
Good info... though cats I have looked after temporarily also seemed to be very good at kicking things a long way. 😉

Cat behavior is easier to understand if you keep in mind that, unlike dogs, which we domesticated, cats domesticated themselves. That's why they insist on maintaining relationships on their own terms rather than ours.
