This Canadian Artist Creates Funny Comics That Might Surprise You With Their Unexpected Endings (24 New Pics)
Interview With ArtistBlanche is a Canadian-based artist whose sense of humor is undeniably out of this world. She likes to laugh and LOVES to create comics that might make others chuckle as well.
Having graduated with a Bachelor's in comic arts at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), the artist creates funny drawings illustrating random happenings in life or an imaginary world full of mermaids and other creatures.
Blanche mentioned that for her, making comics is just so much fun. "It's such a versatile type of art. They also touch on a few other types of art that I like, for example, cinema or animated movies. Comics are basically a movie that you read, there are frames and points of view, characters, narratives, scenarios, dramas, comedy, horror, beauty and the list goes on. I just love it." We hope you will love them too!

Hate to rain on Miles parade but a mermaid is half woman. What he meant was a merman.
lol is the blonde preggy woman the teachers daughter and his baby Momma too ? that would be even MORE revenge haha
Blanche revealed that she has been reading lots of comics ever since she was young. Around the age of 13, she decided to draw her own story and that's how comic creation entered her life.
"I loved to draw ever since I was a child. In high school, I used to draw non-stop in class. I liked other types of art as well, like theater and improv. But comics and drawing, in general, were the only things I couldn’t live without."
Garlic bread, cake, any food worth pigging out on... wayy better. Happy Pride Month!

How do I get abducted by this alien? Because I too need all the puppers.
🎵one of these things is not like da other🎶one of these things just doesn't belong🎶
Don't forget the sea puppers. And rat puppers. And flying puppers.
Blanche gets inspired by many things, it doesn’t have to be something very special. It can be a situation the artist experienced or something really random that just came to her mind.
We noticed that a lot of Blanche's recent comics feature mermaids, so we got curious whether it's a new fetish of hers! The artist replied that she was participating in a challenge called Mermay. It took place in May and she had to draw a mermaid every day. "There's a theme and lots of artists are doing it every year. I personally didn’t have time to make it for every day, but I challenged myself to do a mermaid-based comic every time I posted one for that month!"

That's awesome support for your friend. I hope something cool will come with it too.
Load More Replies...I kind of agree with the guy, but I’d be more concerned about ocean capacity.
All of Blanche's comics are made both in English and French. Since she is a French Canadian, it is important for the artist to not forget her own roots and language. For English readers, it can be a great way to learn a little bit of French as well!
clothes are meant to style urself the way you like it and not the way other people like it. ♥
Actually, they're technically for various purposes, the main one being to cover skin.

It's like seeing myself grow up. I did have "not like other girls" phase when I was younger. Now I don't give a f what anyone thinks, well try to in any case.
The thing is, when I was younger I would try to breakgender stereotypes, this meant I would say I hated pink, dresses, teapartys etc. Now I've realised I do like all those things, I was just trying to prove a point. I'm much happier now I've embraced myself, instead of trying to be an example.
"I really like to make people laugh, in real life or not. I make myself laugh with my comics, so why not share them with everyone! I love the feedback and it’s always heartwarming to see a comment about how my comic made someone's day or that they haven't laughed so much in a long time. As a content creator, I do what I enjoy, I’m having fun with it, and I don’t always think of how it’s going to affect others. But it does affect people and if I can put a little bit of joy in this world the way I can, I’m gonna do it!"
Play at hard level by having a car too old to have remote central locking - you can spend hours merrily searching for your car!
made my life easier by parking by a number sign, then taking a picture of said number sign
Snap a photo of the nearest pillar. I do that when I park in buildings I'm unfamiliar with.
I remember building model rockets as a cub scout. You could get this fairly cheap tracking beacon that would point the direction to your rocket. WHY do cars not have this technology?!
this artist sure loves mermaids, ive noticed theyre in most of their comics haha!
Took the words right out of my head lol

My first year as a teacher to middle schoolers, I went to the nurse to ask for pain meds. She asked if I was a student... I was 27.
Lol so relatable. Yeah bro (new hire) I wrote that code you're studying 10+ years ago. No I'm not kidding. No I'm not a kid genius. Yes I wrote that when you started high school, I am that old.
I don't like bananas so.......can't relate also i'm scared of eating lip balms or lipsticks as i'm 12 when i was younger at a school function my teacher put on lipstick on my lips so many times but i ate it every time........
My friend once gave me some cheetos when they saw me eating chapstick. In my defense I was like 7 and it was coca cola flavored
Same. I made it a rule to never use strawberry flavored lipstick/lipbalm etc
opposite for me. "no teeth, make ur smile smaller". no. i will smile with all my god damn teeth showing just because i feel like it and theres nothing u can do about it 😌
A bit like when I took the picture for my drivers licence, it was this self use machine and it kept telling me my eyes were closed. I look like a mad serial killer on my license now.
I always have a stupid smirk in pictures. So did my father and my brother. The same smirk and I can never get it off my face in the picture
Even Texas can drop 50 degrees in one day, it's called a Blue Norther. And as last year's disaster proved,we also get snow, but our electricity grid isn't set up to sustain us over several days of snow.
I'm friends with a few freelance artists and.... yeah. There's no off-switch even when they try to find one.
When I have anxiety I tell myself this all the time like a mantra. Relax, everything is fine, you are stronger than this. You have come through much more. It's only a trip to the store.
I live on the coast and get to regularly see folks do dumb s**t in the sun. Redheaded folks that come to vacation here don't realize how much stronger the sun is along the water and end up looking like lobsters their whole vacation.
My boys are gingers and I swear they get burnt if they walk to close to a window
Load More Replies...There's something gross but also so satisfying about peeling your skin after you've been burned in the Sun.
My skin is a certain tone where I don't get sunburn easily...I've had to go through dis once... I feel her pain!!!
Hmm I'm a Mexican I've spent many hours working in the sun and it's very hard for me to get a bad sunburn I'm kinda jealous of yall
im lucky enough i dont burn easily and just tan, my mom isn't so lucky
Reminds me of Jason Diaz. If you Google him, select images and look at the guy with long hair. There's another Jason that's an actor & director, but obviously not the one I'm talking about.

Had a hard time opening a pickle jar once. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it. My mom opened it no problem.
Don't worry you probably loosened it for her. At least that's what my mom says to make me feel better when I can't get a jar open and then she opens it. I'm usually stronger
Load More Replies...I bought the most ridiculous thing one day, a small piece of rug anti-skid pad, advertised as helping with hard to open jars. I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be incredibly efficient.
I have 2 different styles of electric jar openners...
Load More Replies...39 year old guy here. My son has openned things for me his whole life and my wife our whole marriage. It's so bad I just have to had them something with the word "open" without skipping a beat they open it and hand it back.
My dad does this c**p all year. He's got the air set at almost 80 during the summer and still wearing a jacket in the house.
Is your dad like 85 or something. I’ve only seen older people do that

These were pretty cute. You can tell that the Creator absolutely loves mermaids though. But they were funny and entertaining.
Wow...cos all comics need to be "funny." Right? Maybe expand your definition of what a comic actually is.
