Someone Asks “What’s Your Best ‘Fire Me, I Dare You’ Moment From Work?” And This Answer Is Epic
A good boss is not only the douche who steals your achievements. They’re also there to pick you up when you’re down. Reddit user Sardorim, however, didn’t have a good boss. The douche managing them even threatened to fire them for “doing a poor job.”
But Sardorim wasn’t in the mood to get into an argument. No, the employee developed a genius plan to prove their contribution to the company instead. Scroll down to read the savage story in their own words, and tell us what you think about it in the comments. (Facebook cover image: Paragon Kilns)

Shame that the harder you work the more they take you for granted. They often dont realise how much you actually do until suddly you're not there
some "boss" just doesn't think that some jobs need some serious skills

That guy is an a*****e. The first thing he did was try to force me to work weekends. His father told him that I couldn't, and that was a deal breaker for me. ...///... Later in the year, I was getting ready to leave for Xtmas, having booked 10 days off way back in August. ...///.... Jerk Kid told me that I had to work over the holiday because he'd been invited to a friend's ski lodge. I told him I'd booked the time off, I had plane tickets, and if that was a problem for him, I quit.
He made the fatal mistake of telling me I wasn't allowed to quit. I laughed, went upstairs and got my coat and headed for the door. ...///... I made it as far as the door when the owner came out and said, "Where the hell are you going?" (He likes to boom. It's hilarious). ...///... I told him I was quitting and why. He skinned his son alive, right in the store, in front of a couple of customers. I kept my job....for another ten months. The kid finally fired me so he could give his wife my job. ...///... The joke was on him. He never spent more than two hours at a time at the store, and his wife was the same. The gallery is still limping along, but when the owner dies (He's 80-something), it's history.

Had a boss who made it her mission to make my life a living hell at work. Would even go through my work mailbox and then email me all the things I didn't pick up that day yet. It got to the point where her constant emails, phone calls and "drop ins" to my classroom were becoming obsessive; and despite the fact I had 200+ accumulated sick hours she still insisted on seeing a doctors note when I took a sick day/mental health day. So when I went to the doctor to get a sick note they suggested I apply for FMLA- allowing me to take ALL of my sick days without ever needing to show a doctors note again. If it weren't for her demanding a note I wouldn't have ever applied for FMLA and would have went to work like normal. But because she insisted, I took every. Last. Sick hour I had. I would never have done that if not for her. She was a horrible principal. I feel bad for Tartan high school.
I had a job some years back, where they were only giving me 20 hours per week. Who can live on that? I kept asking for more hours, and they always had excuses. So, they found out that one of their competitors wanted to hire me. Within one day, they had me on 40 hours a week.
I was fired nice and easy (freelancer), very slowly and very painful. Boos/client -who actually put a price on my work for 5 years and never had a single complain- never offered me a full time, which I would happily take, even for less earnings. Instead, started pointing horrible things about my spotless job (like not been on time or copying other artists) until requests stopped *thank you, flying spaghetti monster*. After that, he had to hire 5 people to do my job, and 5 years later he stills apologize to audience, players and followers because the job is not done yet and they will suffer some "delays on release", you know, because some issues I never ever suffered. *I'm grinning. Malevolently*
When my dad still had his inheritance money and was richer than God, he was working at a GameStop that was currently for sale. He pissed off his boss about something trivial and he got steaming mad. Dad just said that if he was fired, he could buy the store and fire HIM. Boss was skeptical, but then Dad showed him his bank account. Guy went pale and eventually calmed down.
Reminds me of my mother who does most of the work because her colleagues "don't know" how to do them... I can clearly see that they just don't want to do it because my mother is present. It makes me worried that my mom is so tired when she gets home and one time she cried! I got so angry at her workmates that I told her not to go to work for several days and gosh.. listening to my phone ringing every 5 minutes for 3 days was utterly enjoyable.... my mom didn't accept her boss' offer to buy her a cellphone.... because it'll be much easier to order her to run errands... and wear her out.,. tsk
THE JOKE IS ON THEM...I got older (we all do) and the company I worked at routinely gets rid of older workers after they turn 55...It is illegal, but they still get away with it. I made a mistake, so they got rid of me. (we all make mistakes...they are very forgiving when a younger worker makes a mistake)...All the work I was doing stopped. The slackers I left behind did not pick up the load. The boss told me this when I bumped into him at the gym. More than that, after several years, the overall product quality has gone from "best in the market" to "average or less than average"....The workers do not know how to calibrate the product quality analyzers and get it right. THE JOKE IS ON THEM...

He's gained the nickname "Nun-Chuck" because he is really fast at programming. During the years he's been there, he's seen developers come and go..some because they were too slow, others because they knew less about programming than he did (he's been doing it for 14 years now.) But one bad habit he has is he fails to take time off to decompress from the stress of meeting deadlines. He is now the senior developer and handles the big clients, but hadn't received a raise in a while. So when he took a week off to finally relax, the whole office went nuts trying to get him to come back in. When he did return, he got everything caught up in 2 days. The boss, I think, realized how important my husband was to his company and gave him a raise. Kind of a "please don't ever quit!"
Love it when an a*****e boss gets what she/he deserves! There are too many bosses & managers out there!
I'm from New Zealand. There's no such thing as an "employment tribunal" here.
My fiancee got let go once because the company had to save money. A boss with a new car every other month ofcourse. He was gone for 2 weeks until they offered him his job back with a huge raise. Apparently that boss didnt really know what he did for the company which was way more than he thought
I used to think I should be grateful they even let me work and actually pay me that little money they pay. My position there is the lowest but now, after 4 years, I realize I actually do a lot, control a lot and don't talk about it, because no one is interested. So maybe one day I too will be missed :)
I worked as a seamstress ... nothing complicated! The machine I was working on, was new to the operation and it was a bit complicated to adjust. The technician there, had no idea, how it worked! Since I had worked with it before, I knew the model. Although I told my boss, that the technician had set everything wrong (because he had no idea!), he blamed me, for getting so little work done, the hole week. The following week, the technician wasn't there. I adjusted the machine correctly ... and got the same amount of work done that day, as in the whole week before !! From then on, I was the only one, who was allowed to adjust that machine. ; ) Wondering who did it, after I left??
I didn't get much of revenge w my witch ex boss, but I'll never forget how mean she was to me after this temp guy helped me answer the phones one day told her he thought I was pretty. I was pretending I hadn't heard, and went on answering phones, and I heard her say, "Yes she is pretty." After that, she was nasty to me and gave me extra work, and if someone there asked if they could help me, she'd look directly at me and say, "she can do it." I finally quit cuz I'd had enough. While I was working my two week notice off, the owner of the company came in to see my boss, and as he walked past me, he asked, "Is it something we've said?" I almost told him, but told him it was just time I'd moved on. I wish I had told him, but I wanted to get a reference.
Wow...some people are petulant children in grown up bodies

I really much like that last story. I should feel sorry for this fired manager, as a human being feeling compassion for another human being, but I don't. Sorry God, I don't. I'm pretty happy he got that s**t upon his head, maybe that'll make him realize he has to value/respect his fellow colleagues. 'Cause they ARE colleagues, and human being of the same quality as his. BAM, in your face, s****y manager. I still hope the s****y manager sorted his life out afterwards and found another job where he'd be more respectful.
As an "indispensable" person in my company I can say with assurance that it is still a poor move to so aggressively call their bluff. First, they will deny your promotions and raises. Second, rather than fire you on the spot, they will get someone else trained up or find the time to do a good employee search, then they will fire you.
I guess he had planned his move since he left a month later.
