When this dog’s canine friend got injured and stranded on the tracks, he stayed with her under the passing trains for two days, saving the pooch from certain death. A group of animal rescuers from Uzhgorod, Ukraine, received a call saying two dogs were spotted on the railway track. Denis Malafeyev, who shared the touching story on Facebook, wrote: “When we arrived, it turned out that one of the dogs, the female, was injured and couldn’t move.” All this time, the healthy canine was trying to protect her. “The male dog heard the sound of the approaching train, came close to the female dog and laid down next to her… Both of them pushed their heads towards the ground, and let the train pass”.
Denis Malafeyev said the story made him emotional: “The male dog was doing this for two days in a row. Think about it. He was keeping her warm.”
Turned out the protective dog is named Panda, while his female friend is Lucy. The man was glad to inform the canines were given medical assistance and returned to their original owners, where they are safe and sound.

Both dogs would bend their heads down every time a train was passing right above them
For more than two days the healthy canine was there in the cold trying to protect her

I will ask the same question that I ask anytime I see a video of something horrific happening: "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU TAKING A @#$!ING VIDEO, INSTEAD OF HELPING?!?"
I think it was filmed by the first animal rescuer on the scene. Perhaps he needed more help and/or equipment to safely move her away (possible internal injuries etc) and while he was waiting a train passed by. Just a guess though
There's no way to for a train to stop that fast and with the train as close as it was it would have been dangerous to try to get them off.
Maybe the dogs weren't friendly enough to just jump up the tracks and scoop them.
I agree. In the photo after they were rescued one of the dogs had tape around its snout. I'd say they were so terrified that they'd try to fight anyone who got close.
Do you read article or you just came to yell like a morron ?
I have 2 questions: the 1st has been discussed. But 2, how come the owners got them back? Were they being searched for while missing?
I agree so much. There's a fire on a plane, but a guy has time to film it. Were we this uncaring before cell phones?
You mean the people have been spotted on these dogs for 2 days but no one, I mean NO ONE willing to go and save them?!!!! WTF!!!!! I hope someone adopt them together. They need a forever home!!!
"the canines were given medical assistance and returned to their original owners"...
Yes... For 2 days people saw them (like the train pilots) and nobody said one word.
SUre: in Ukraine you CAN! They were good friends of Hitler. They well know how torture human and animals. THey can't stand Nature: parvenu and new rich with oil mafia.
So the dogs are safe now right?
I want to know that, too. :'(
Yes. They are fine. "the canines were given medical assistance and returned to their original owners, where they are safe and sound."
I'm not sure honestly... I mean, they were returned to their originals owners, people who didn't even searched for them for at least 2 days...
