A Cocker Spaniel named Flash is a living example of dog loyalty. Flash refused to leave its owners coffin and was seen repeatedly pawing it during a mass funeral for Italy earthquake victims.

On the 24th of August an earthquake tragically hit central Italy and nearly 300 people died. Andrea Cossu was one of them. The 45 year-old was on vacation in Pescara del Tronto village when a building collapsed and killed him.

Flash couldn’t say goodbye and kept within a short reach of his master’s casket. Andrea’s wife described the two as ‘inseparable’ but the dog’s heartbreaking act of devotion speaks more than words ever could.
