Illustrator Turns People’s Deepest And Darkest Fears Into Comics
Illustrator Fran Krause asked people to tell him their weirdest and most irrational fears to turn them into witty comics. Sometimes these irrational fears can be traced from the early childhood memories or come as a result of some vivid world explanations grown-ups used to tell you. But sometimes, however, they are just inexplicable. The project, which started with Krause‘s own phobias, now features comics of more than a hundred of craziest and darkest fears readers sent him. When reading through the comics, you can see that even though your fears might be silly, they aren‘t that uncommon. If you feel brave enough, you can submit one yourself! I never knew that another girl had this dreadful fear of mary the virgin thing. my parents even named me mary the virgin, i was terrified!
This happened to me once. Thankfully I only had a little wound in one finger.
This is a constant paranoia I have; I try to think things and see their reaction, after 10 mins I feel like I've wasted my time.
i have a fear that rat's will come out from the toilet while i'm pooping or a crocodile.
I did that ! But I worried I couldn't go back and I'd have hurt my family for disappearing
same thoughts when i have when i'm eating watermelon.. the seeds grow inside my stomach..
I hide all sharp objects around me before going to sleep at night. I fear I'll kill myself using one of them in my sleep.
Do you push it away cause you fear you will grab it? I do the same. I also don't trust myself not to jump off bridges when I'm on them.
This is very much what it's like to have OCD. I'm always afraid I'm going to accidentally kill myself with a knife (everyone has these intrusive thoughts but they are much more livid for the obsessive compulsive)
That just means if you're caught in a split second life or death situation you will not be able to reach a weapon in time to fight back.
This makes sense. I place sharp knives in one compartment and butter knives in another.
This is so me. I'm not afraid of hurting myself, though; I know I wouldn't. Other people...that's up in the air.
Since I have 5, I'm always closing every closet in my room before sleeping. I feel as if a person had committed suicide by hanging there.
Same. Also I think I can intentionally jumped off bridges or subway... It's really freaking horrible.
Is the point that if u pushed it away then it can never be beyond ur reach? Lol
I do a similar thing, where I turn sharp objects around. Bcos I have a fear of being stabbed accidentally.
Same. If they can't be pushed out of reach, spinning them around so the handle faces me also helps.
Ah! This has always been my greatest fear. Watching the movie Gravity was way scarier than it should've been.
I live alone, and I am afraid that when I die, I won't be found for days, letting my body rot away.

when i was young, everytime i go to bed i have to keep my feet within the bed boundary or else i'll wake up with my feet chopped off.
I must admit I still fear this and still sleep entirely covered with nothing out of the limits of my bed and I am an adult.

Since I was a small child I sleep with pajamas on for fear the house will catch fire in the middle of the night. I don't want to have to go
When I was little I tried to treat all my stuffed animals equally so on or more of them wouldn't get jealous and kill me in my sleep
I was an a*s as a kid..i used to tell my little sister that all her stuffed animals came to life and had parties, while she was sleeping. She asked me one day while they didn't do it while she was awake and i told her it was because she was a pest and they didnt like her, so they didnt want her at their parties.. I've apologized, now that we're adults

When i am a boy, i terrified when i swim in the swimming pool alon, suddenly shark or croc will spawning from nowhere and i cant escape
As a child I always thought a tentacle would come out of those jet thingies on the sides and pull me in... that freaked me out a lot lol >_<

I have some dreams saying that i have some sort of prophocy and chosen stuff and blah things

Going back to bed from the bathroom at night. Its all dark and u feel like something try to catch your feet until u jump on the bed quickly

Hey i have a story! When i was younger, me and my parents and sibling went to a pool, i was exited cuz my friends and others where there. BUT. when we actually swam in the pool i cling onto my dad, not because i couldn’t swim, it was cuz when i looked down at the pool, it was deep and dark, that, i thought there was an giant octopus inside, even tho the other adults where still not yet eaten, so i just stayed in the kiddie pool.
Since I was a kid until now, I'm afraid of my under bed. I'm still thinking there's something there I don't want to see.

My Dad almost did #3 on a non-icy patch of pavement recently. He managed to twist his body in time to avoid a fence like this in time, and ended up with a bad black eye and stitches in his eyebrow when he hit the ground instead, but now I've got serious fears about it. THANKS.

I've had many of these but I don't define them as fears today. I'm kinda more afraid of parent still saying stupid staff like these.
