Mom Sews Incredibly Accurate Disney Costumes For Her Daughter To Wear At Disney World
Three-year-old Lane Rouch from Florida is an unofficial star attraction whenever she shows up at Orlando Disney World thanks to her incredible Disney-like costumes, which make her look like she sprung out of one of Disney’s fantasy worlds.
The credit, of course, goes to her crafty mum Jennifer Rouch, who has a passion and talent for creative costume-making with materials from thrift shops. Rouch, who is a self-avowed Disney fan, bought annual passes to help her little girl conquer her shyness, and now takes her there every week together with her husband, Chad.

She is Amadala in the last one, not Leia but seriously those costumes are amazing! The little girl is adorable! The cast members are sweet!
I can't believe people are so creative and wonderful. This girl looks so happy, and her mom is so great!

OMG this is so cute! I rarely get moved by pictures of children but this is soooo adorable :))
Love these. However, the Star Wars costume is Queen Amidala (Leia's mother), not Princess Leia.
That is so cute ^^, I wish my mom did that for me when I was little, oh wait.......idk about disney characters.
Publicity stunt . Thrift shop? yearly membership 1500. Shy? shy kid doesn't walk around with strangers. Angling for modeling contract
This is a publicity stunt at the very least. There is no way a "shy" child would agree to being held and photographed with strangers.
I'm sure someone's already said this but the gold star wars dress is Padme Amidala's dress, not Leia's.
This is awesome! Very creative and inspiring! Wish I had the gift to create like this! Very nice!
So cute she is a little princess and you should keep it up the good work and maybe one day your daughter will work at Disneyland
Pffft utter failure, the last one is Padme Amidala in her golden dress not Leia
I think Lane would be happier if mom spent more time with her playing, telling stories than sewing. Mom is satisfying herself not her child.
That she is dressed as Padme Amidala and not like Princess Leia on the last picture
Love the costumes...but small correction. The Star Wars costume is not Leia, its Padme.
That is so amazing!!! What an amazing mom to take the time to help your child's imagination to soar!!!
She's my cousin, and I can tell you that Lane's life is an episode of 'Toddlers and Tiaras' everyday. She's not lucky at all.
I think Lane would be happier if mom spent more time with her playing, telling stories than sewing. Mom is satisfying herself not her child.
Amazing I wish I could do something like this for my niece... Its better than toys dolls etc she gets to use her imagination
Clothing and dressup is less money to make than buy i used to do it myself
If parents have the money to buy the disney shop ones they have the money to make these its 3 times cheaper!
I have been making my daughter cosplays&soft toys since she was born.I buy old sheets from charity shops to make them.14 now, still into them
People...who cares about how much it cost? It's not your business. The little girl is happy and her parents prob work very hard to affrd it

That is so sweet! I just love the photos. Sad to say I wish I had a mom like that growing up
The Mary Poppins one is confusing (?), but it's all so impressive… especially how much Lane's parents do to help her build her confidence.
The last one was actually Padme Amidala, not Princess Leia. She did walk with Princess Leia though.
This girls parents definitely deserve an award! I love her costumes, and I love how her parents are getting her to come out of her shell!
Awesome Mommy! Sophia would LOVE to dress like this on her weekly Disney visits, and she's only 2! Princesses are our future Mommies! <3
Aggghhh no! That's not Princess Leia. That's one of Padme's outfits from the Picnic scene in Episode 2 Attack of the Clones. Just saying.
The mum dad or both are obviously working hard to earn money to give this child the best childhood possible the should be commended for it.
Who cares how much it all cost and how some can't afford it! Just look at the pics and enjoy......or don't.
i love that the mother has chosen to spend the money she has on giving her daughter an amazing childhood. Its awesome...
I have only one problem with this beautiful idea... she is Senator Amidala, not Princess Leia...
Totally Padme ;). But besides that , oh my goodness this is so adorable ! Especially her pictures with the princes :)
I made a Luffy costume (from the anime "OnePiece") for my son this halloween. Just used old clothes :D
Seriously people?? NO NOT all parents can afford to do this. That is not the point. I think the point is to appreciate this moms creativity.
I love it! Totally cool! The ones hating should probably go get another job instead of arguing on the internet! ;)
What a lovely memory for this little doll to have. Her momma is a pretty special gal. She will remember her Mom & Dad's love for her dearly.
I'm very happy for this little girl. Her Mom and Dad are making her feel special. All parents can do that for their children!
There's an error in your article. In the last set she's dressed as Padme Amidala, not Leia Skywalker.
It is a wonderful thing she is doing for her child. She has free will, she can do whatever she wants. Purely adorable. Haters everywhere
How lovely to have a mum, that can make such beautiful clothes for her daughter. Such treasured photos for the little girl when she grows up
Dude, that's Padme, not Leia. And I bet the "Mary Poppins" one is meant to be a dancer from EPCOT's American Pavilion.
My aunts have an online shop where they make these types of things...vasince one of my older cosins works at Disney:)
The last costume is actually what padme wears, not Princess Leia but still adorable :)

Whoops sorry did not see all the comments above me saying the same thing
This is awesome, but the last one is Padme Amidala, not Princess Leia! http://dft.ba/-dcuj
People would take this article and automatically think that it's a blow towards their own parenting skills. Grow up!
Dude, her mom needs to sew for me! I love that Jack Skellington dress. And that mermaid dress was made of bedsheets! I used to have those!
so sweet oh my goodness. the tarzan hand to hand made me melt. and the nose kiss with peter pan? too cute :')
What wonderful costumes! Such a great idea, and very smart mom getting the bits at thrift stores!

I'm pretty sure I just witnessed some of the cutest pictures I have ever seen. Some made me want to cry happy tears they were so beautiful ❤️
I think she's adorable and her mom did an amazing job on her outfits.
Isn't that Padame? Leia never wore that outfit. With that said, THIS IS AWESOME!
Pretty cool to see parents who obviously didn't sacrifice their imagination in the name of growing up. Peter Pan would be proud!
Not Leia. Padme, picnic scence. Episode 2. Didn't even have to look it up. I am the ultimate nerd!
You can do amazing things with sheets, curtains and ugly granny clothes if you have imagination and talent.
You know it doesn't take much money to make a child's costume, and it brings so much joy to the child, parent, and everyone who sees them.
What beautiful costumes! And, what a blessed little girl that has a mom that has the skill, time, and creativity to make them for her.
Oh, my goodness, what beautiful costumes! And, what a blessed little girl that has a mom that has the skill and time to make them for her.
So lovely and what a talented mum. Enough with the tolls, lovely story no war, politics or sex, go ruin more appropriate message boards !
I applaud to her parent's especially her creative mother .. patenting done right
Adorable! All children deserve to have parents that care that much about them.
I think she's Amidala... not Leia. (Star Wars) However, she's lovely and so are her folks, either way.
She's a cutie and those handmade dresses are beautiful! What the parents are doing must be working because she doesn't look shy at all!
Why are some people such haters? Just be happy for the little girl. Thats what u call an amazing mother. Better then some mothers out there!
Am I the only one who got unsettled when I read "princess Leia"? Queen Amidala*
Amazing! Very talented mother. Some people have a talent to make something amazing with very little. Daughter thriving! So Happy in pictures
This is the most incredible, wonderful thing I have ever seen. What awesome memories for child and parent alike. This is precious!
Everyone is missing the point, the parents do this to help her with shyness, wonderful parents to do what they can to help their daughter.
Last one isn't Princess Lea. It's Padme in one of her outfits from Episode 2. This, in case you're wondering: http://tinyurl.com/lnuhv9n
The last one from Star Wars is a Senator Amidala costume, not Princess Leia.
OMG THESE ARE AMAZING! EVERY LITTLE GIRL'S DREAM TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS!!!!! LOVE IT!
THIS MADE ME CRY. Oh god. Just so incredibly cute and sweet and what not.
Her outfit is Padme's from Star Wars, not Leia's. Great dresses, way to go Mom!
I think it's awesome. Hush you downers. I couldn't afford it either and think it's WONDERFUL that this little girls parents can. Yay!
If she doesn't already, this Mum should work for theater companies in their costume department! Darling costumes and a precious child!
God bless this momma and her love for her daughter to help her join the world in comfort. Incredibly special. Hire her Disney!
How awesome...what wonderful memories her mommy is creating along with those darling costumes.
Love the costumes but I have to point this out. She's not dressed as Princess Leia. She's dressed as Padmé Amidala. Aka Leia's mom.
Very cute!! (Princess Leia costume caption should be corrected to padme amidala costume)
Hello kay weston, annual passes means a one year pass hahaha so if what you said is correct that each pass is 20 dollars, it is a very gd de

Why does something so beautiful and innocent have to always turn to negative and hate? This is a beautiful story, end of story people!
Actually the last one is no Princess Leia but "Senator" Padme Amidala from the 2nd Star Wars Prequel Attack of the Clones.
leave it to rude people on the internet to ruin the comment section..
leave it to rude people on the internet to ruin the comment section..
What an awesome thing to do for a child! No negativity needed, it's Disney people!
That little girl is extremely lucky to have parents take that much time and effect to make her dreams come true they must be special people
Sharing her love for her daughter by this tangible way is amazing. I'm glad she uses her God given talent in a loving positive act.
What a talented Mom! The costumes are amazing. FYI-the last costume is not Princess Leia-it's Amidala from Ep. 2 Attack of the Clones.
I would love to know how to make all of this beautiful costumes. She is amazing and get daughter is adorable. Great pair
That was actually Queen/Senator Padme Amidala from Attack of the Clones :)
Who else was waiting for Anna or Elsa from frozen since that seems to be the go to lately. :)
Hey a$$holes. This is beautiful, all hand made and cheap. Parents don't have to do this to be a great parent. Go s**t somewhere else.
Just a small error...the pretty yellow dress from Starwars is something Padme wears -- not Leia.
awwwwwwwwwww love this.... that is a mom who really loves her daughter, to put all the thought and time into those costumes are just amazing
That is NOT Princess Leia! It is Padme! WTF PEOPLE! DO YOU EVEN STAR WARS?!
Am I the only one who's going to point out the fact that she's dressed as Padme, not Leia. Lovely thing to see mind you.
That's not princess Leia's gown. I think that's Padame Amidala's gown.
My friend and her mum makes their child's clothes for Disney....he dresses up too and costumes are amazing! Making memories for children!
By the way, she's not dressed as Princess Leia from Star Wars, she's dressed like Padme Amidala from Episode II of Star Wars.
Awesome way to help your child with her shyness!! Such a great idea. Love it!
Um...dude that's not a Princess Leia costume, it's a Padme Amidala one.

Last one is, Senator Pademe Amidala of Naboo (Leia's mother, Anakin's wife).
That's Padme Amidala's costume in the second film - Not Princess Leia. :) Cute as a button though! <3
These are precious but I am not sure why all the attention. You see countless little girls there wearing similar handmade outfits.
Because it's a story, not just some kid going to a park. This girl has a social problem and her parents are helping her by doing this
Load More Replies...Also..if you're gay & take offense to something someone even a stranger says about it..you obviously feel deep down that its wrong stfu...
The costumes are great but the reasoning behind it is flawed take her to preschool to gain self confidence and social skills she's 3!!!!!
the last costume she is dressed as amidala- not leia. But so cute all of them!
A very creative Mum. How special to create items from other peoples discards. A fantastic talent.
I believe that last one is actually Princess Padme Amidala, not Leia.

THAT'S NOT A PRINCESS LEIA COSTUME! THAT'S AN OUTFIT THAT PADME WORE IN EPISODE II! AN EXAMPLE WHY STAR WARS SHOULD NOT BELONG TO DISNEY!!!
What a bunch of amazing pictures! The first time I went to Disneyland, which was two years ago, I cried. I was so happy to be there.
if you think a comment is so out there, how could anyone be that crazy/sick/etc… they aren't. it's called TROLLING, ladies and gents. smh
FYI to the writer of this article: The last outfit is Padme Amidala, not Leia... though it is still absolutely adorable!!
That Star Wars dress is Amidala's from Episode II, not Leia's. She appears with Leia, but it's not a Leia dress.

Priceless.. Simply Priceless. All the effort by her mom is saved as reflected in innocent toddler's eyes
Those costumes are amazing!! That is one lucky little girl and one very talented mum.
Actually, in the last image, it's not Princess Leia's outfit but Padme's outfit when she was in Naboo for a picnic in Episode II.
Her mom is just propagating Disney's patriarchal views of women. She should be ashamed.
Her mom is propagating Disney's racist patriarchy and she should be ashamed.

The outfits are so adorable I give that mom major props for making those outfits
I don't like that a three or four year old child's stomach is showing in a public place, however they are her parents, they can do...
Check out my son's album of his adventures! He comes up with the ideas and I make it happen! https://m.facebook.com/130630720315231/a

This Is super Cute, but in reality no child Would Enjoy changing costumes 50 Times for pictures when they could be riding rides. Enjoying th
All of these people who are saying it us too expensive!!! Please you spend more on video games!!! Electronic parenting!!!!
eeppp!!!! thats incredible! wish my parents did this for me when i was young! keep doing this ! super adorable!

That's all great and dandy- but she's not dressed as Princess Leia... she's dressed as Queen Padme Amidala from Episode II...
Oh my God... SHE IS SO CUTE!!!!! Love all the costumes and mom, amazing job. You rock my socks!
Just going to say.... Not Princess Leia. The little girl is actually wearing costume worn by Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) from Episode 2
This is amazing!! Her mom has such a great skill and talent!! I wish i was that little girl!
Love it, that is the way to be a kid. Not sitting on your butt playing video games.

Absolutely wonderful, what a beautiful and loving thing to do for her daughter.
I'm bitter 1 My parents didn't like Disneyland much so didn't want to invest in season passes 2There were no princesses who looked like me
THAT'S NOT A PRINCESS LEIA COSTUME!

Love the Walt Disney Family, the children and amazing Mothers and Fathers that give their children the dreams to become nurturing parents.
They're are all awesome but...the last one is not Leia but Padme Amidala XD
They're are awesome but the last one is not Leia, is Padme Amidala XD

Omg what a magical wonderful Adventure. Must have taken her forever to create that wardrobe. Wow!

Cuteness to the MAX. I feel the excitement just by looking at those photos. Her mom is so talented. Next time, I hope mom is in photos too!
The outfits are so adorable I give that mom major props for making those outfits
I don't like that a three or four year old child's stomach is showing in a public place, however they are her parents, they can do...
Check out my son's album of his adventures! He comes up with the ideas and I make it happen! https://m.facebook.com/130630720315231/a
That's Queen Amidala, NOT Princess Leia. Fire whoever wrote this article. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp136/HannahZuzu/baju_gown_k
Last one is actually one of padmès outfits from ep 2 (probs cause leias only non white costume would have been inappropriate kahki or brown)
