Teaching your kids to embrace their oral hygiene regimen and with it, going to the dentist - Parents Magazine suggest the following tips. Start early, the sooner they can become acclimated with the routine of going to the dentist the more comfortable they will be. Rhea Haugseth, D.M.D., president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry said it's best if their first visit starts at age 1 or when the first tooth is visible.
My pediatric dentist has this exact one. It is creepier in real life.
kinda fits, As nemo was stolen from the ocean and was in a fish tank that was in a DENTIST'S OFFICE

While you should communicate with your child clearly about their visit to the dentist, giving them too many details about what is going to happen or what may happen can give them extra anxiety. Answer their questions and keep a positive attitude without giving them false hope. Don't tell them everything is going to be OK because they may end up needing a treatment and will lose trust.
To keep with the positivity theme it's important to be aware of the language you choose surrounding visits to the dentist. For example don't use words like, shot, hurt or pain with children but instead follow the lead of the dentist. Oftentimes pediatric dentists have their own child friendly vocabulary to explain things in a less alarming way. Use phrases like strong and healthy teeth.
Practice makes perfect. Try doing a "trial run" before your actual trip to the dentist. Act out the appointment with your child just using a toothbrush and counting their teeth with numbers or letters. Avoid using scaring drilling or instrument noises to prevent anxiety. You can also try using a mirror to give an example of how the dentist will check their teeth in the back. Trying it out in the reverse helps too. Give them a toothbrush and let them play act with one of their toys.
Don't try to give your kids too much preparation. You may be tempted to take them to your own dentist office to observe but this can add to future fears. Your experience and theirs will be different, as child dentist's offices are usually less sterile and cold with toys and books. Add to that they may sense your anxiety about your appointment and might internalize this.
I want this one. Really, tell me where I can get one. (Why? Imagine that you need to tell somebody to... get lost. And you pull out this and with stone face you just say "no" or "do not even dare" and if it is not enough you shove this in his/her face and say "do you want to talk with mister Snappy?")
my dentist had one of these but it was up in a dark corner scared the sh*t out of everyone
I've got a feeling that was deliberate. At least, that's what I would do if I were a dentist. ♥

I want one of these just to hide around my house to scare friends and family when they come over, lol
The interesting lessons is that these freak out us adults but children find them totally suitable. In fact, children will also imitate brushing teeth with toys that do not have tooth at all. It seems that the capabilities of abstract thinking is very high even in mere 12-month olds. Just give them an old toothbrush, let them watch how you brush your teeth, and wait what happens...
My siblings, friends and I actually used to play-pretend with dentistry related themes. You know the decorative little stones around gardens and public parks? These were teeth. And we kids took roles of cavities, toothpaste etc. (I guess this idea came from that French cartoon La Vie)

Unless it has human-like teeth (like a horse), DON'T ADD TEETH TO ANIMALS GODDAMN IT
I want one so that I can put it in my sisters room while she sleeps. She would be so scared!!
That was so boring! It’s literally the same thing repeated 37 times. Thanks, but no thanks.
Applying a set of human teeth on stuffed animals.. Pretty creepy. But imagine if they had cute little dolls with teeth of... a tiger.. shark... seal..... anything... That would be another level of terror.
This is the first time I have seen anything like these. Never and I know that I now never want to see anything like these again.
Would be way less weird if they didn't have human teeth... or some don't have teeth in the first place anyway like the fish...
So if you ever want to make anything cute creepy, just give it a set of human teeth. Got it, thanks.
I got a ton on toothbrush ads on this and my younger brother told me to stop scrolling past them because he thought they were posts 😂
I don't...I don't know if I should like upvote these or what but these are terrifying and very nightmare inducing
If that helps them keep their teeth, I am all for it. Please take care of your teeth!! I have seen family members go through a lot of pain and spend a lot of money to get teeth both as implants and dentures because they lost teeth. I did not know how bad it is too lose your teeth.
