LGBT+ lives and issues are something very important to me for various reasons. So I do what I do best about it: drawing it.

With this, I want to show that it's all okay, that no one is abnormal and that people are not alone.

Some of these are also a part of my mental health drawings, that's also a very important part of my life. You maybe already saw a couple of them in a previous article.

I hate those labels they are just basis for stereotypes and hate and stuff like that

I think that the labels are sometimes helpful to people trying to figure out their sexuality/gender/ other identity and i know it really helped me when i was questioning and then came out as bi and a demigirl. I dont think of them as labels, more like names. You get to choose your name if you like, and be proud of it. They are not for stereotypes please don’t say that, you are basically hating on the LGBTQIIAAPP+ community

I always identify as "work in progress". There is always more to learn about myself and others. I'll respect someone else's personal labeling.

The issue here is that they are looking outside of themselves for the answer as to what is inside of them.

There are two genders. Everything else are populist sociological 'clubs' that people join to render onto themselves comfort, familiarity and purpose

I see...where you got your medical degree? A great number of people are born intersex, and imposing a binary expression on them at birth has harmed personal friends. There are genuine issues to discuss that require nuance.

It’s amazing how much changed when I, a female, cut my hair short. It’s silly. I’m still me, but with air conditioning for my noggin.

my clothes do NOT fit my husband very well at all... he has chicken legs and I have curves so a lot of clothes are marketed toward women because.... um... we are built VERY differently.

Nobody cares what you wear. This is an activist perspective on a non-existent issue.

Just because you haven't witnessed discrimination/violence over how people dress isn't an indication that it's a non-issue. "Gay panic" is still a legal defense in some US states.

I feel this. I do identify as a woman, but I don't identify as feminine. Not that I'm really into labels, but if I had to describe the way I feel, that would be it. I have no desire to change the shape of my body (except for those extra pounds haha) but I dress completely "masculine" (even though clothes aren't alive, and therefore really don't have a gender right?) and I keep a pretty typical men's hairstyle.

me as well. I dress in mens not because I identify as one. I don't wear anything feminine because I just don't like them. that should have been an adequate reason, right?

Oh yes! This is a big one. They treat women as though we're all the same even though we're individual human beings. Although did the girl on the cover just HAVE to have blonde hair. I feel like that's perpetuating ridiculous untrue stereotypes as well. Ugh

I identify as a girl. But I don't wear nail polish or dresses or jewelry. I am not fond of the color pink and I have friends who are boys who are not boyfriends of mine. I play video games and do not wear makeup. I do not obsess over my weight or size of my breasts. That doesn't mean I'm not a girl.

It won't always get better, and it's true things could always be worse, but it CAN get better if your willing to WORK for it, if your unhappy then go one step at a time until you are happy. Doesn't matter if everyone is ahead of you. Go at you own pace to MAKE your own happiness.

These are true, but first you have to make yourself a person that you love. You're beautiful the way you are, but maybe it's just not right. There are many forms of beautiful and the one you are might not be your fit. Be who you are but don't be scared to make yourself better.

I believe that these comments are very unnecessary. I mean if you didn't know that they were trans, that would be fine, as long as you stopped if they spoke up or requested you to. But if you know that someone is trans, well, that in itself is a very hard process both mentally and physically to go through. As I was saying if you know that someone is trans I think that you would be smart enough to refrain from those types of comments.

To be honest, I'm not trans yet I still find those comments harmful. Loving yourself can be really hard and those comments do nothing to help, instead they make a person feel like they're doing something wrong or not trying hard enough. :(

I do not understand why this is such a huge deal..... penis... vagina.... ovaries... testes..... be gay, be lesbian, love whomever you chose, not my life & I don't give a s**t but for f***s sake.... PENIS OR VAGINA it's not that f*****g difficult. Women shows signs of cardiac arrest WAY differently than men.... gonna need a real genetic answer for that question if you're dying.... The entirety of existence on this planet continues because male mates with female... even spiders. Need one of each gender to continue a species etc.... it's not a religious thing,,,, its a fact . Now the whole rest of the world is supposed to conform to this b******t. Use your proper pronouns and blah blah blah. I want equality. I want people to love and be loved. and to be able to love whom they chose but some of this is sooooo dramatic!

Oh yes. The dreaded "gender" question. Personally, I can not relate, but I feel bad for those who torture themselves over this. I still see no point in asking gender. (I mean sometimes it might be necessary, but it depends on the situation). However, I have seen some websites/surveys put an "other" or "prefer not to say" option as well as "male" and "female" options. I believe that more websites/surveys should include that option for our non-binary etc. friends.

Isn't there usually an "other" to check ? Not to spark a debate, but there is such a thing as hermaphrodites; most documents of this type I've seen the past 10 years have 3 choices.

Every trans/queer/other I've talked to has had to be the ambassador/educator for the heteronormative crowd before. I get it... people generally want to do good and learn. And it can be exhausting to always be the ambassador/educator.

I get so confused sometimes when my friends yell "Lukas!!!" because I've only just started to realize who I am at the beginning of the school year and I'd just met them, so they don't know me as anything else. One in particular asked me why I didn't turn when she yelled my name and I honestly had to tell her that I wasn't used to responding to it yet. I'll also say "yes?" when they say my deadname without realizing we have 2 other people by that name in our class/friend group and they don't know me by that name. I also live in fear of them seeing me outside of school with my parents and them calling me Lukas, and me having to explain it to my parents (who are SUPER unaccepting).
