Artist Repaints Mass-Produced Dolls To Make Them Look More Realistic, And The Result Is Amazing
Some people might say that dolls are kids' toys and nothing more. But incredible artists creating lifelike dolls can change the minds of the harshest critics.
Noel Cruz is one of those people. The Filipino artist, currently working in the USA, repaints regular cute dolls making them into real one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
He has transformed many simple dolls giving them realistic faces of famous people and characters. Noel's repainted dolls are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. These realistic dolls are sold as collectors' items and are wildly popular.

OK, that's a tough one to nail! Since all that's visible is his chin. This is why, while he's a great batman...his disguise sucks. You can clearly see it's Affleck behind that coil!!!

The best compliment I can think of is that during the first few pages, I kept having to remind myself that it wasn't pics of the doll next to pics of the living people who the doll was supposed to be.. A lot of these are amazing! I don't know how we had masters in the past such as Van Gogh and Michaelangelo, modern people who can do things like this, and yet every freaking portrait in the middle ages made everyone look like the love child of Mr Potato Head and Mrs Butterworth...

I thought the Emma Watson doll actually was her when it was finished. I thought a photograph of her had been put up to compare with the doll! What an amazing artist. I have always thought the mass produced dolls were rubbish as they never look like who they are supposed to.

A lot of these are showing a completely different doll for the "before." Emma Watson's has different hair and collar bones that aren't visible in the before.

I'd say 98-99% of these end up looking like THE actual person!! Now if only he did the body too you'd never know you were looking at a photo of a doll.

The artist re-done dolls are really amazing. It's much easier to make a doll look more realistic if you are doing one make-over at a time. The mass produced dolls are not bad looking, they just don't have a lot of time spent on each one.

Tree Change Dolls is a wonderful company wherein a lady changes dolls, for instance, the Bratz dolls to make them look natural and the profits goes to help childrens charities.

Watched the video. IDK, at 6:02 hes painting pink lips and the rest of the face is not fully painted and it suddenly jumps at 6:09 to the head with no pink lips and incredible facial detail. Something is fishy here. Seems like kind of an important part to skip over considering how long he shows the unboxing?
