What’s more adorable than a pic of Ed Sheeran, unofficially known as the cutest guy on earth? If there’s anything, it must be a pic of Ed Sheeran gently holding a tiny kitten in his hands.
It turns out, celebrities are people like you and me, not because they’re down to earth or eat Frosties for breakfast. It’s because we are all inevitably bonded by our love for cats. And in a world increasingly divided over views, politics, and whatnot, cat people all stand on the common ground that makes everything except felines less important.
So we compiled a list of celebrities that turned out to be cat people, which suggests that if we ever met them, we’d have a lot to talk about. Like, how our furry munchies love bouncing off the walls like a tennis ball, or how they cover their tiny faces with a single paw and unknowingly, they just made your day.

Bored Panda reached out to Molly DeVoss, the certified feline training and behavior specialist who runs “Cat Behavior Solutions,” to find out what an expert thinks about humanity’s immeasurable love for cats, whether it’d be a famous person or your next door neighbor.
“I think people are universally attracted to cats because they are so beautiful and mysterious. Cats are also thought to be lower maintenance than dogs and this appeals to some pet owners,” the feline specialist said.
And when it comes to famous people who have cats, Molly believes that “they make the species much more approachable and appealing, especially for those who thinks cats are aloof and unapproachable.”

Ricky Gervais
Moreover, “Seeing a celebrity with a cat can make fans want to get one that looks the same.” So no wonder you feel like wanting to adopt a cat after seeing Taylor Swift having two of her own!
Most importantly, celebrities with cats help to debunk the stigma surrounding felines. “It is thought that cat lovers are typically introverted and sensitive, but as you can see from this list of celebrities who have cats, that’s not always true. I myself am an extrovert and my whole life revolves around cats,” Molly concluded.

I am allergic to cats but I still love them. The cessation of oxygenation of my body is well worth it.

I had the same feeling. But the cats of Ian Somerhalder and Ricky Gervais sure look confident with their purrsonel!

Load More Replies...I'm so happy when I see cats getting all the love that they deserve! For so many years (in Greece at least) they were considered so inferior to dogs. But now more and more people choose to live with cats, my heart is content! ^.^
Is it just me, or do do all of these people look like their cats or vice versa?
I was thinking the same thing. And, they say dogs look like their owners.

Best cat loving instagram is Rob Halford from Judas Priest. The Heavy Metal God worships them!
I thought "celebrities" are people that are widely known in society. I've never heard of more than half of these people.......much less being cat lovers.
Reminds me of my favorite Chinese actor Xiao Zhan. I was so touched when he said that you can have a lot of friends but for your pet, you are the only one.
Who are most of these people? I guess if you're a B-list actor with a small part in a movie today, you're automatically a "celeb"?
At first my cat was upset because he didn't belong to a celebrity. Then he realized he'd never heard of most of these people so I'm good.
Alison Brie is on here twice but Kate Beckinsale, noted cat enthusiast, is completely left off?
Actually, I think it's the cats who adopt us!
Load More Replies...There are 58 million cats in the US alone who are household pets. We don't need self-centered celebrities sharing their professionally shot and edited photos to tell us cats are wonderful.
"We" need all compassionate people who promote kindness and beneficence to any living, sentient being, not only for the benefit of animals and our planet, but also humanity. There are hundreds of billions immensely suffering animals in the world. You are absolutely right, More Thinking (is) Needed..... and certainly the utmost universal compassion is needed. P.S.: One who loves and takes care of an animal is not self-centered. P.S.S: Who does not poses for pictures????
