Cat Destroys A 2,432-Piece Doraemon Figure That Took Its Owner 7 Days To Make, Doesn’t Seem To Regret It
Anyone who owns a cat knows that when they want attention, they’ll find one of a hundred different ways to get it. And boy, do they get jealous if they think you’re giving their rightfully-deserved attention to something else. Like a huge project.
One mischievous cat found a powerful way to get its owner’s attention: it wrecked a large, 2,432-piece figure of Doraemon. Well, the man from Thailand who works at a toy store spent a whole week building the figure for a client, so all of that hard work suddenly went out the window.
When the man posted photos of the catto and the shattered remains of Doraemon on Facebook, the story went viral. Scroll down to see just how naughty some pets can be!
A toy store worker built a Doraemon figure for a client…
…but his cat wrecked it!
The toy store worker’s photos on Facebook got over 63,000 likes, were reshared 72,000 times, and got more than 23,000 comments. Imagine if every cat who’s ever broken something it shouldn’t have got this kind of attention—the internet would be practically run by cats! Oh, wait, it already is.
The client wanted the Doraemon figure before the New Year, and we don’t know if the toy store worker managed to finish rebuilding the sculpture before the deadline. But we certainly hope he did!
For those of you who might not know, Doraemon is an incredibly popular character from the titular Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Fujiko Fuijo—the pen name of the talented Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko.
Doraemon is a cat robot from the 22nd century and was sent to help out Nobita Nobi, a young boy who had poor grades and constantly gets bullied by his classmates. Doraemon has a four-dimensional pouch in which he stores unexpected gadgets that improve the boy’s life.
The manga was published way back in 1969, and there are 45 volumes available. So if you’re in need of something new to read in 2020, give the manga a go. Since 1979, it’s an annual tradition in the Land of the Rising Sun to release a new Doraemon movie every March. However, Doraemon enjoys great success outside of Japan as well.
People laughed at the unfortunate event
While some were concerned for the kitties safety:
For the record, you should never lift your cat with just one hand, it can hurt their fragile spines
Hold the cat properly ffs and don't leave things around where they can destroy them. Simple.
Cats shouldn't be picked up like that, and you should have laid that thing down so it couldn't fall over.
B******t! He obviously put it together wrong and it self destructed and he tried to blame the poor innocent cat. I mean, look at that cat, who ya gonna believe?
Look at the cat being 'held'. If that cat weighed ANYTHING, there would be a pressure indentation from the fingers in the cats body. You can't hold a cat like that. And when a cat falls and lands, it almost always automatically rights itself and runs. Cats lie like this when relaxing, not after a fall. Especially a loud one with things falling around it. No cats run from noise and falling things.
Load More Replies...So a building brick statue fell and broke into a few pieces. That's not destroyed in my book, it's a 50 minute repair job at most.
I don't think he was concerned that much about the cat just the silly LEGO statue!
I spent months on a very detailed pastel chalk painting. Almost done, cat walked across the most detailed part leaving paw prints. Then knocked all the pastels to the floor. Dog ate the chalk. Pooped rainbows for a week.
Your cat is the smart one. Who orders an elaborate lego set like that and then doesn't put it together themselves? That's half the fun/frustration....
That is the way with pets and if you cannot accept that you are not worthy of them.
Yea, I think the guy dropped it or couldn't finish it and blamed the cat . . .
My cat destroyed my deathstar Lego set...that didn't have the best directions like most sets and cost nearly $600...it now lives in ziplock baggies
Yeah, or he dropped it himself and used the opportunity for some internet fame (mission accomplished). Besides, it’s not a problem. It’s (fake) lego, he can put it together again easily.
First of all, I understand you were probably upset but you need to learn to how pick up a cat. Unless, you were trying to hurt him for what he did. Second, cats are very curious creatures so if you don't want anything broken or destroyed then put it somewhere so the cat can't get to it. Don't blame the cat for being a cat, you mean poc. If your cat had actually knocked it over it would NOT still be laying there among the pieces. The noise and clatter would've scared it and would most likely run from it. By the way, your creation looks a bit top-heavy so it probably didn't take much for it to topple over.
Maybe the "owner" should spend more time with a real miracle creature -- an actual thinking, living, breathing, feeling creature, not a silly plastic cat figure. And anyone stupid enough to leave a construction like that where it can be knocked over by a cat, dog , child -- or EARTHQUAKE, this is Japan, for f*** sake-- is an idiot. No sympathy. And be more careful picking up the real cat!
If that was a real photo, you wouldn't be able to hold a cat like that.
