If you've ever tried to call a cat somewhere in a foreign country, I'm sure you've noticed that they don't always react. Why? Because apparently international cats react to different sounds.

In England, they say "chh-chh-chh". In Israel, they say "ps-ps-ps". As for India, they say "meow-meow". Each country gets a cat's attention with different noises, and these were just a couple examples! Keep on scrolling for a list of how to call cats in a bunch of different countries, compiled by Bored Panda.

In my region we also use ci ci/tsi tsi instead of the above. But only to unknown cats. My cat usually reacts to "are you hungry?'"

And endlessly amusing to me always because one term for breasts is pronounced "Tsitsi" so it's as though you're calling out for your runaway pair of boobs.

Same in Bulgarian (for boobs)

the hungarian word is 'cicc' from "cica' (kitty) .. it's weird to see 'tsits' but the pronunciation is correct by the way. and André Tóth was correct as well... "cici"... oh, how I hate this word for boobs :D

If you write cic-cic English pronunciation can sounds like kik-kik. That's why it's tsits-tsits
