Humans Of New York, the wildly popular blog that features photos of random everyday New Yorkers along with some of their quotes, has one fatal flaw – no cats. Comedian Jim Tews has set out to solve this with his Felines Of New York (FONY) blog, where he collects photos of New York's cats and writes introspective and meaningful captions for them, much like those often found on HONY.
Initially, Tews just took photos of friends' and acquaintances' cats, but when he opened a volunteer form for people to invite him into their homes to photograph their cats, he was met with unexpected success; "I thought nobody would be OK with that, but I ended up getting hundreds of responses in a fairly short amount of time," he told Aplus.
Tews will be releasing a book with more than 100 cats and quotes in November that can be preordered on Amazon.

I love all the cations for these pictures! They are so...catish. After caring for dozens of cats throughout my life, I came to realize that cats have no thoughts, they just look like they are thinking.

That's a cruel thing to say! Of course cats have thoughts. "Does my tummy feel hungry? How long ago was I fed?" -- "Is it 3 AM yet and time for my mad runs through the house?" -- "Why does that diabolical squirrel taunt me through this force field called a window?"
