Get ready for your daily dose of cuteness. Here’s something that you don’t see every day—a friendly family of bobcats relaxing right on your doorstep. Artist Kathy Maniscalco brightened up our day when she posted photos and videos of a mama bobcat with her 5 kittens relaxing near her home in Sante Fe, New Mexico.
While 3 of the tiny bobcats were sitting on the wall with their mom, 2 others were up in the porch. One of the pair that wasn’t afraid to climb up can be seen meowing at the camera while the other one looks like we all do after a tough week at work.
Kathy even mentioned that she’s thinking of turning one of the family bobcat photos into a painting in the future. We’d absolutely love to see it and we’re looking forward to the project. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy some adorable and fluffy bobcats, shall we?

The artist also posted two videos that she took of the bobcat family through a window. She told KOB4 in a phone interview all about the playful encounter.
“Oh, lo and behold there were babies, babies that were having their milk snack. I thought, ‘Oh this is just too good to be true! What a gift!’ So I just kept recording little video clips and they stopped feeding then they started, in another video that I posted, they started playing,” she said.
According to Kathy, the kittens were stretching, relaxing, and generally being adorable. “We got to see their beautiful spotted tummies and the momma cleaning them and it was just so amazing. I couldn’t believe my eyes because I was literally 6 inches away from them. They did not mind at all my iPhone recording them.”
That’s when Kathy noticed the two kittens hidden up in her porch. “And they were so at peace and I thought, ‘This is a message maybe for all of us just to relax.”
The bobcats moved on from the artist’s home after around 4 hours. Kathy said that she got a lot of attention from people because of her videos. She even had complete strangers reaching out to her on Facebook to thank her for sharing the beautiful content that helped lift their spirits during these difficult times.
The artist said that one of the kittens was even trying to get inside her home
Here’s how people reacted to the adorable content
This family are so cute, living the places like that you can always encounter these beautiful cats, hopefully no stray cat out there are harm.
Bobcat momma's to-do list: 1.) Feed bebes 2.) lick bebes 3.) lick bootyhole
Add me to the Darwin Awards listing. Because I KNOW that I would have tried to pet them; or at least put out cat food to lure them back. They are adorable, and they don't need idiots like me trying to domesticate them.
The bobcats are entirely too comfy with humans for the safety of the bobcats. IT's lovely to see them on video, etc., but their own safety depends on being *scared* of predators. And humans kill bobcats. The kits need to be scared of human scent to avoid traplines, etc... Yes, people do that stuff. And worse. Leave wild animals *wild*, please? For their sake... You may have good intentions but at least ten others won't....
Too many 'Oh, so cute' comments....and that's all right to admire nature's beauty, but if you will not get involved and join the fight against the ugliness perpetrated by greedy and evil, sanguinary people there will be NO nature, NO animals, and then NO us, humans. Please join any reputable environmental and animal rights/protection organization(s) for the sake of all of us. Thank you for your compassion.

They are beautiful and it must have been an awesome experience, but the last comment above is the only correct one: they should have been chased away because if they get used to being around humans, that is what will get them killed.
They'll be most likely killed anyway; because the cattle ranchers use more and more wild public land for grazing, they poison wild predatory animals and any animals which compete with their cattle for pasturage. This destruction is happening courtesy to "gentle, responsible, and reasonable" people who "must" eat more than one million of animals every single hour!!!! They love meat ....and everything else - the entire planet can go to hell. It does not matter to them how much destruction, pain and suffering they are causing; they even don't care about their own health and about the future of their own children. COVID 19 did not just happen, it was man-enabled, as all those previous deadly bacteria and viruses were, and all those ever more potent viruses will be. But why do they have to bring down responsible, compassionate people with them?

The photography on this bobcat family are amazing! Some of them are a professional level!
This is so beautiful!! The lucky person to have been able to see them
Re the bobcats....we are in San Rafael CA in a fairly rural area but houses all around. Our bobcat came speeding doen the steep backyard and attacked a squirrely (they do seem to enjoy squirrels) and crashed against the screen door. I walked over to see what happened and the bobcat stopped, moved away, stared at me, then left with an apparently dead squirrel on the door step. Returning in about 40 minutes to see what had happened the squirrel was gone. Either it had not been harmed but had a bit of PTSD or teh Mr. Bobcat came and grabbed back its lunch.
Four hours?! Oh my. I would just sit and watch them the entire time. So beautiful.
I know I cant- but I wish so much I could pet them and feed them and keep them safe :)
So beautiful and utterly delicious. We have to be content with our domestic cats.
Makes me think of that poor lady who rescued someone's housecat who had gotten stuck in her fence -- only to learn it was a bobcat after it destroyed her house.
My cat is about the size of the mama bobcat! He is a maine coone- tabby mix.
