Yes. I need to know what they did to her neck. Was surgery involved?
Load More Replies...Does not look like the same person. Looks like a mom and her daughter.
I hate how "take off your glasses" always makes you look better. What if I can't wear contacts?!
Exactly. It's not like all those people wear glasses for fun.
Load More Replies...Clearly the fashion and style is better. Nevertheless I suspect some photoshopping has been done;).
She looks 10-15 years younger and happier. How did he address the creases in her neck? Unfortunately, a woman’s neck and hands often show her age.
"I used to be one of the biggest fashion stylists in Russia," Alexandr told Bored Panda. "I worked for fashion magazines, with Russian and international designers and big brands like Dior and Chanel."
"Then I got an invitation to work on TV as a presenter and stylist in a makeover show, and so I began my career on TV. I worked on TLC, MTV, TNT and now I am on CTC, the main entertainment channel of Russia."
She looks very cool, her hair suits her very well! Glad to see some wrinkles: they show she's lived!
I love that he had her go more gray instead of covering it up - looks great on her!
That is one hip granny! She looks wonderful in the second photograph. Love the haircut and makeup.
Think the spotty, bowed shoes are an overkill next to a spotty skirt but other than that she looks so chic.
I love the shoes, I think that's the part that adds that extra something cool
Load More Replies...I actually really like her before outfit too, looks spunky. The sleeves should be rolled down however, because that color clashes with all the orange.
Va Va Voom! LOVE the haircut, and how her eyes look so much more beautiful!
Alexandr has a background in education, and he still takes the time to conduct lectures and master classes on fashion and style in Moscow and the regions. He takes his work seriously, and seeks a deeper meaning in fashion than the glitz and glamor of glossy magazines. "I try to explore the best side of women," he continues. "I help them to find the better side of themselves. I am not styling only to make a show- I am styling them for real life. I am not only a stylist - I work as a psychologist too!"
Makeup & what resemble actual eyebrows will do that.
Load More Replies...yeah, but do you want to put on a ton of makeup every day? i wish these make overs weren't so make up based. plus you're comparing a formal dress to casual wear. of course she's pretty in formal wear. the first outfit is for daily wear, not special occasions
she chose that dress herself though, he provides a choice of 3 outfits, and this was the one she wanted
Load More Replies...What is Alexandr's favorite, most satisfying aspect of his job? "I most enjoy the moment when I open the mirror and see my client's reaction to her new look."
"It is the most incredible feeling!"
Yes something that would pop out from the rest of the outfit!
Load More Replies...She was allready looking great, but even a lot brighter after the restyling.Like a filmstar !
She is my FAV. LOVE this so much. Great look/FABULOUS eye-wear. Pointy shoes are awesome. Keep in mind, that other countries (this artist is obviously from Slavic Europe) have different styles, people. Try to stay open-minded.
Keep the glasses, skirt and shoes from the first pic and this would be perfect
For those commenting on "hideous glasses" - Alexandre always has a couple people coming (mother+daughter, husband+wife, sisters, etc) to one show, and works through issues between them as well. Meaning a lot of their personality is shown at the show, and this lady's personality is depicted on the final image, believe me :) also they choose one outfit out of three, the one they like the most and feel comfortable in, so this is how she preferred to see herself.
I know! The stylist is super good at bringing out those pretty eyes on all of them.
Load More Replies...If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it
Load More Replies...She looks like she was crying before the shoot. :( Love the new hair!
All these before shots it's like they were told, "Wear an expression like you've just been arrested". The after one in this is really nice, I just hate sneakers or boots with a dress. It's really unflattering.
LOL youre right about the expressions, it's so disappointing cuz its like they never smiled or had a good day. I mean, if the pictures at least hightlighted that you're already beautiful without a makeover, and the makeover is just an extra, wouldve made more sense imo.
Load More Replies...Looks great, but the white boots are taking attention away from the rest of her outfit!
The new outfit suits her! Check her hands: this is a power woman that has worked real hard in her life!
I actually like the dress she had on first, but the hair is a major improvement
I like the dress too, but I don't think it fit her body shape. She needs dresses that flow more loosely below the chest.
Load More Replies...Stark black and white is too harsh for anyone her age. The burgundy brings colour and life to her face.
Every BEFORE picture is a mug shot, no smile, shoulders square with the camera, & poor lighting. Not a true apples & apples.
Absolutely right! Every AFTER picture is also way more dynamic and posed - basically the "before" photos are everything you should never do when shooting pictures with a person. They even chose a background that makes your face color look duller and one where it pops in the "after" pictures. What absolutely killed it for me is the use of those terribly lights that put a ring of lights in your eyes. Why not go ahead a edit everything?
Load More Replies...Neither outfit really suits her body shape. Longer, slimmer trousers would have looked better by lengthening the leg. Hair is lovely though.
Not digging the ripped jeans, still haven't figured out the popularity of that ugly style...but overall she looks great! Love her hair.
Someone has yet to explain to me what the ripped jeans mean, besides an irrational flavour of the week!
I don't like the bland dress. The purple shirt fit her very well, he should have done something with that color.
Yes I don't understand the dress..it's too midwestern housewife.
Load More Replies...Great haircut. Pretty eyes, defined nice lips, time to start dating!!!
Those glasses MAKE people look older than they really are. She looks great now.
her after picture makes her look like the secret bad guy in movies that slowly feels bad and sides with the good guys, she looks amazing tho
in this case, new clothes make the world of difference. Hope this stylist also told her to NEVER EVER wore bags that make her look like she has escaped from the hospital like in the first picture ;)
So happy they kept her long hair, with most make overs that's the first thing to go unfortunatly.
I agree...I don't know why stylists think everyone looks better with short hair.
Load More Replies...Please tell me someone burned the pink dress. She looks wonderful in her new clothes.
I was so excited to see curly hair! Seems like all 'after' photos are all straight hair. Like the secret to looking good or put together is make sure your hair loses all personality.
Load More Replies...Her eyes! And who doesn't love a curly look? As a pin-straight girl, I salute you!
She looks beautiful! The pink lipstick and coat with the black hair makes her gorgeous eyes pop out!
Great outfit & great haircut. That's how you rock a shaved head as a woman.
I do too, and this is the only one I feel that way about. Shaved head? I always feel bad for the person because I am sure they are going through chemo treatment.
Load More Replies...Prefer her before hair. Though I hope they put the jumper in the bin.
She looks like the clothes are wearing her. Too many bulky layers for her small frame. Rocking the 'do though.
Literally all she needed was the haircut. Don't like the outfit at all.
I think the first pic looks way better, she could use shoes that fit the outfit better though.
Let me just say, you look wow! I don't know why but for a second (I kno I will sound hateful but that's not my intention) I thought it was Asa Butterfield. She looked amazing both ways, tho <3!!
She looks 'harder' and less approachable on the right. Maybe the lip color is a little harsh.
The after outfits should be stylishly practical that they could wear for a casual or nice evening out. This one needs a time machine to drop her off at Studio 54.
erm, that's how people dress in Russia for a nice evening out. It's how you'd go to someone's birthday party at a restaurant. Please acknowledge this show is from a different culture ;)
Load More Replies...Please take her with you to your next job. She has "Vanna" potential. Big Smiles! :) :)
Me to, but whatever the girl likes more than she should wear it with pride!
Load More Replies...When your facial structure is pretty like hers, makeup isn't needed. Also, uglier clothes WHY?
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
Load More Replies...The haircut alone brought her loveliness out. Too long hair is too often something to hide behind.
She has such a lovely natural beauty about her in the first photograph. Not really a fan of the heavily airbrushed makeup.
Mile long hair is way too dowdy, she looks so stylish & beautiful with the makeover
I agree, she looks like a model! I LOVE her haircut! I wish my granddaughter would get her hair cut but no way! It is very thick, naturally curly and wavy. She continually receives compliment about her hair. I LOVE LONG HAIR, I am 73, and I will never get one of those granny short cuts. My hair is stylish and just above the shoulder, so I am a fan of long hair, especially on young girls, but too long, make a person look drawn out and tired. This girl is absolutely beautiful.
Load More Replies...I hope that hair was donated. And NOT to Locks of Love; Wigs for Kids helps way more kids than the former.
Or before she was aged down. It's her body, she should wear what she wants!!! Also, the clothes aren't "ugly"! They are beautiful and if they make her happy, she should wear them! And, the makeup was fabulous all though she was beautiful before as well. And she looked more mature, more of a functioning adult who actually had things to do and places to be, not "20+ years older"!! (Edit: You can wear sneakers, a baggy tee and jeans and still be a functioning adult)
I believe they tell them to arrive scrub-faced. Many of us are pretty blah without makeup.
Load More Replies...that new hair looks ssoooooooo good on her! but sry i don't like the shoes
Hair and makeup, great. The dress looks like a patterned sack, the shoes are hideous.
I disagree. The dress and shoes are the ones she chose and they complete the look.
Load More Replies...eye drops. I read at a blog post from a makeup artist once that literally the first thing that makes you look older and tired is the color of the eye balls. if it's pinkish/yellowish - not white, you'd look like you're sleepless or old. So I tried using the menthol eye drops and they do work wonders. The eye "opens", it looks "alive", so now I always start my day with them. Even if I don't use makeup that day, it still helps to look better.
Load More Replies...Wow, wow, and DOUBLE WOW!!!! Gorgeous! Love the hair cut and those eyes, blue as blue can get!
Gotta do something about that complexion. Makeup is only a temporary fix.
Love the haircut, but much prefer the "fresh & young" of the Before look.
a belt maybe, and some nicer shoes and a smile, would have got her almost close to the right-hand pic
Load More Replies...I love how the artist added heavy and long eyelashes to help hide the lid sagging. Really smart.
That sleek hairdo makes a big difference, and whatever he did with her eyes is perfection!
I like the skirt on her before, for sure. BUT you took her to TV News level. Very professional and very nice. I do like the playfulness of the skirt on the other side, too. :) :)
Love the pants suit in dark green, but thought the bag and shoes would have looked better in taupe.
Just incredible what a soft haircut can do for a woman! Total transformation.
Yes, platinum. I couldn’t think of the word and went with “white.” I see what you mean though about her skin tone.
Load More Replies...Not a fan of the white hair. But still a good makeover clothes-wise.
The second outfits loooks fine in her and I’m surprised the mullet actually looks okay in her :)
Big Giggles! I am a women landscaper and wear them when it is cold constantly... but I totally agree. They are work shirts and great for just that. Nothing else. ;) :)
Load More Replies...I give the model total credit for these. You couldn't miss on her. She is a beautiful women who can be everything from funky and spunky to desirable and sultry. Those eyes and the expressions she could protray is an artist's true playground. Goor for you. Good for both of you. I'd ask her back and pay her to use as many sculptures. I hope that does not sound bad. It is meant as the hugest compliment to both the artist and the model. :) :)
That’s so funny... I thought the transformation was minimal and the after pics seem awkward 🤷🏼♀️😅 (kind of the way I look in photo shoots) Just goes to show how differently people see things. Your reaction is much nicer!! 😄
Load More Replies...Why did she get the frost shirt from? It cute but the music is too small
Why do so many women grow their hair out so long? laziness? Great hair cut.
Amazing. I’m using the style ideas. Flowy skirts are so in now. I love it.
Part one’s hair on the side and see what happens! She looks wonderful.
Again, love the fact you took her figure and showed off her long legs and playful character. Good job to both of you.
Faces beautiful. Clothes and shoes-yuk. The clothes and accessories look too awkward.
Again, overdone, but she does look good with the news hairstyle and makeup.
I wonder how many women will keep up the new hair and makeup? It’s a lot of work to stay beautiful as we age.
Like the new outfit and it suits her really well. The hair is too high on a long face. Needs width.
She looked much more natural before, than after. With this make up look older, hair style does not fit.
she looks better in the first. all she needed to do was get rid of those piercings on her lip
You can't hide those crazy eyes, but I like the after shot as long as you're somewhere where it wouldn't look like a costume, like NYC or another big city where they appreciate bold fashion. If I saw her here in NYC, I'd probably compliment her on the outfit even if I didn't know her, which I rarely do. It's striking and suits her.
She has a perfectly oval face and whatever hairstyle she chooses will look good. I'm a little surprised that she chose that outfit, but it looks wonderful.
Why hide the beauty marks? At least leave one of them. They add character.
These are getting better and better! This is a perfect and very doable transformation. You brought our what she already had goin' for her. I love this and hope she continues with the look. She wears it well. :) :)
That's what I thought. At least the 2nd outfit is better for her very thin frame. But I don't like pleated skirts, the color is nice though.
Load More Replies...Looks like maybe she was malnourished as a child.
Load More Replies...I love the new outfit. She really needs to add a few pounds to her frame. Her face needs fullness too.
Lol 1 for the skirt, 2 against. Gonna have to go neutral though, the skirt could work with a different top. Definitely doesn't work with that top.
Great makeover, but the outfit, including shoes, makes her look trollopy.
I...don't see the improvements... I thought it was two brothers and was wondering where the "before" pictures were.
Also, blue was a much better colour for him and the camera flash makes his skin look worse in the 2nd picture
Load More Replies...These are all very good. In most the make-up, yes.....the clothing, yes......but ladies! It's all about your posture and a smile!
Is this a comment about how society doesn't give a duck about men's looks, but all women are demanded a duckton of fakery? I hope it is :). The only thing different is a smile.
Couldn't they find shoe's that would fit? Shame as the rest works well.
Make up is too dark - shouldn't be trying to change the skin colour and then blend it out down the neck. Needs a pop of colour in that bland outfit.
She does look good in the first one, a much more natural look would suit her even better I would think.
I think the fringe is the main culprit. Doesn't suit her at all.
Load More Replies...She looks pretty in both, but a lot older in the after one. She's got such a cool face though!
Love the new hairstyle! Too heavy/dark on the makeup (bronzer and eyeshadow). Her lips are gorgeous!
I'm the opposite. lol I love the shoes. It's the sweater that's a no-go for me.
Load More Replies...Sometimes make-up does too much....why take away the beautiful freckles?
Load More Replies...Yeah she looks about ten years older. Too much makeup again. Enhancing natural beauty looks so much better than putting stuff all over it.
From child to adult. I wonder how old is she. Did she want to look older (20 something baby face?)?
I really like both face & hair styles... cannot say the same for the outfits
Is there even a way to enhance freckles? If so, sign me up!
Load More Replies...This proves the old saying that women have makeup, can color their hair, change their style, etc. to enhance their beauty or hid their blemished. Men can't. If I guy is ugly - he ugly. Only three men shown. They trimmed their beards, styled their hair, and changed their clothes. That's it. I have a lot of respect for women that go without makeup or go very light. From a guy's perspective it feels like a bait-and-switch. This is why so many "adult film starts" aren't recognized in public. But again, guys have limited options.
This is true, but I think part of the problem is the great emphasis we have put on our looks in the first place. Our attractiveness shouldn't be so important. There may be less that a guy can do about the way he looks, but I also think the standard is lower for men. Some people think a woman isn't professional or completely put together without makeup and that just seems unfair to me. I just wish people would care less about having to look perfect.
Load More Replies...All of them have the exact same style make-up, even their eyebrow shape was changed and very similar in the after pics. The fashion choices are mostly better (some are atrocious), but I don't like how aged-up the more youthful-looking people are in the after pics. Also heels everywhere, because f**k comfort...
Left side: No smile no make-up, no decent hair-do and not posing. Right side: Smile, make-up, hair is done profesionally, new clothes, posing and better lighting. If she just gave all the people the make-up and hair-do makeover and left them in their cothes, the results would be exactly the same. This just shows it people pay a little bit more attention to their appearance their life could change dramatically.
Actually, it shows that the stylist manipulated the before-after "change" by making sure the "before" image was as awful as possible. True "before" would show them smiling, same pose, having done their own ahir and cosmetics .
Load More Replies...Can't wait for the day that we actually get to see one of these posts but instead of being all about makeup and lighting and pose it's about actually improving one's look by just getting a hairstyle or cut that suits them, glasses that look good rather then use contact lenses, natural poses on both, no grey/wrinkle shaming, and so on the natural way. Also by popular demand after this post: no more pointy shoes please loool way too many.
This is why you don't compare yourself to people on TV and in magazines. Makeup and fashion professionals can make anyone look glamorous. No one is that glossy without help.
I hate these things. The before photos are always so intentionally terrible. It's like they're saying "I am a garbage human, so ugly, look how sad I am because I am atrocious". Then afterwards, "I finally feel good enough". It all feels so insulting.
Why are the women all in HDTV-level make-up? That's not a maintainable look. I would love to see these sort of make-overs done in a way where the subject can actually keep up with the new look on a regular basis.
So we're going to just ignore the fact that different lighting is used for the second shot (check the ring light in the pupils) and the change in pose and smile? This garbage is no different from those fake-a*s before/after dude body shots where the after shot it is actually shot hours after the before shot after the guy eats salty foods and sodas and gets bloated, whereas the before shot was dehydrated and after dropping for 30 pushups. These look like garbage instagram filters. No real skin allowed to be shown. These are AWFUL.
Karlie Kloss would look horrible in front of that badly lit yellow insipid background. They need to be lit exactly the same before AND after.
