Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual, so like everyone else, I am just out here making it up as I go. I create relatable comics about my life as a 30-something bear. Whether it’s me being tired of being an adult, or spilling food on my pants, we have all been there.

Sharing my comics is my way of connecting with others out there who have also been left unsupervised for too long.

One of my biggest influences on my style was growing up with the cartoons of the ’90s. Everything I watched seemed to have animals as the main characters. Whether it was the Ninja Turtles or the animated Disney movie Robin Hood. I was all about it as a kid, and am still all about it now as an adult.

In case you are wondering, the actual process of making the comic takes me a couple of hours. Getting the wording right is the hardest part for me. I often try out different variations, and will often change something last minute before I post the comic.

This is my aunt. You know the episode of Spongebob where Patrick yells "I can't hear you! It's too dark!"? We were telling her about that scene one day, but instead of laughing she just went "well I understand that" WE. COULD. NOT. BREATHE.

It actually makes sense, it's not actually about your eyesight it's about your attention, your brain prioritizes which senses it devotes the most attention to. Loud noises can actually cause your brain to devote less processing power to your visual input. So you can see, but you don't react as quickly to visual stimulus.

Most of my ideas come directly from things that are happening in my life. The rest of the ideas tend to come when watching TV or scrolling through social media. If something sparks me as being relatable, I jot down the idea to see if I can’t make it into a comic later.

I have felt burnt out several times over the years when doing creative work. This usually happens when I am working on something I am not passionate about or have taken on trying to do too much. I thankfully haven’t had to deal with any burnout yet with my comic.

I finally stopped dreaming graduation exams at... 34. Prior to that if i was stressed my goto nightmares would have been either going to final school exams unprepared are having a university exam session unprepared. That s**t traumatizes people! Thankfully, I am now dreaming that i get fired. At least before i KNEW it was a dream, now I wake up with possibility of my dream coming true :S

If there's one box, one bag, one cellophane, it's one serving. One box overrides the individually wrapped cakes or cookies. They're only individually wrapped to prevent drying out.

I have gotten a lot of positive responses when people see my comics. They often tell me how cute the bear is and then they will tell me which comic or comics they related to the most. I am often surprised as to the comics people choose as their favorites.

As soon as I came up with the idea for my comic, I knew I would share it on social media. The whole concept of the comic is about being relatable, and there is no way to know if I am being relatable to others if no one else is seeing it.

My favorite part of creating my comic is the inking process. At this stage, everything has been mostly worked out in a way I like and I am able to draw without doing much if any thinking. I often listen to music or podcasts while I work, but during this phase, everything goes away and I am in my happy place.

Yes, that's me. About 15 yrs ago I lived on the top floor of a rwo story apartment building, steps up were outside, no elevator. It was just me and my daughter, but in spite of this, when we shopped, we brought home a ton load of groceries. Carrying those heavy bags up the stairs was the bane of my existence. I hated going up and down multiple times. I had a few of those heavy plastic circular clips that you hooked all your groceries onto and then had the fun of dragging upstairs. It was very hard and hurt my hands, but by gosh and by golly, I only made one or two trips with the help of my daughter who would carry some of the lighter ones. I live in a no steps ever universe now, and during the summer months it stays pretty cool on the bottom floor. That top floor apartment was un-"bearably" sweltering in the summer, and I live in rainy Western Washington State.

My journey as a digital artist started with me trying to do a little bit of everything. Photography, illustration, typography, graphic design, and even making videos. I knew I wanted to create but wasn’t sure exactly what to make so I made it all. Slowly, I was able to figure out what I really loved the most was drawing and telling stories, and comics was the perfect solution.

Yup. My wife and mother are both terrible for this. And they both know I have severe anxiety. Heck, my mom did this once and gave me a panic attack at work so bad I couldn't stand and I had pinhole tunnel vision. What did she want to talk about? That my daughter finally said all her ABCs. At 2. Which is cool and all, but not a "we need to talk" topic.

I've had a book series like this. Read through a trilogy only to find the ending was horrendous. Can't remember the name of it but it was about a guy born without magic living in a world full of it and he had to fake his way through or he'd be imprisoned or killed because of a prophecy. Not going to spoil the ending, but it was awful.

I read a book that was really really good and it was all coming to the climax and you were wondering how the main character was going to get out of the situation and theeeen, it was all just a vision and literally none of it actually happened. There were two more books in the series but I just couldn't bring myself to read more than that first book because of how incredibly unsatisfied I was with the ending
