Barbie Has Done Almost Everything Except Breastfeeding, So This Mother Decided To Change That

Wanting to end the public fear of breastfeeding and educate kids, Australia-based mom and doll artist Betty Strachan created a breastfeeding Barbie doll.

”The decision to make a breastfeeding doll didn’t come consciously,” Strachan told The Huffington Post. “I’m a member of a mothers’ group that’s comprised of very lovely and supportive women. I remember one day, I was drawing the new face on a Barbie doll, and she just seemed to be the embodiment of the entire group.” Strachan calls her breastfeeding mother doll the “Mamas Worldwide Barbie.” The doll, which is sold on Etsy, comes with a small baby doll, a hat, and diaper in the color of your choice.
