After Seeing These 22 Women Remove Their Makeup You Will Never Be Able To Trust Anyone Again
It's a fact that beauty standards and different perceptions vary a lot across the world, not to mention that each person has his own understanding. After the rise of social media, the cult of beauty trends became so important that some people even go an extra mile to look pretty just for the appearance on the internet.
So what defines beauty? In some parts of the world, it's the Rubenesque full figured woman, in others - bushy brows and dark hair. In some parts of Asia, e.g., China, some people reach the whole new level of creativity regarding the definition of beauty. The new Asian makeup fad is to look as delicate as porcelain dolls. And though the porcelain doll makeup look is nothing new, these girls here take it very seriously. Application of professional makeup now means not only highlighting their existing features but also creating new ones with the help of fake skin extensions, false eyelashes, and even special effects makeup.
The video below, that went viral a few days ago, shows the process of Asian girls removing their "sculpted" faces, and most of them become completely unrecognizable. Scroll down to see the makeup transformations for yourself and let me know your opinion about this in the comments below! (h/t)

Asian Makeup Transformation
She's honestly a very pretty woman without the makeup. I find her even to be really cute without all the special makeup.
Maybe, but the whole world now is fond of the doll-like beauty sterotype...
Load More Replies...This is somewhat fake. Yes, they are using prosthetics, but they are also using a filter to alter the shape of their face, ... like that instagram filter that widens your eyes and thins your face.
Oversized contact lenses..I have seen them put on..

yeah but with make up looks a lot scarier.. (and without it shes so pretty!!)
Load More Replies...I think she looks like a grey alien in drag with all that c**p on. She's pretty enough already.
Asian Makeup Transformation
Wow she's got a beautiful face. The fake one is literally much worse lol, just bland "they say it's pretty" face, hers has beauty and character to it, shame she doesn't see that(does she?).
It's hard to say, since we don't know her personally. But the fact that she accepted to post her natural face kinda answers the question. She probably does see what you see, but there may be many different reasons why one would want to, say, "keep their privacy". Also, note that most women don't do full make-up every day, it's just sometimes, for fun. You can wear a different face, just like you'll wear a different t-shirt.
Load More Replies...She is a natural beauty, why wear makeuo to cover such a beautiful face and smile
This woman could rob a bank in broad daylight, remove her makeup and never get caught.
the fact that the heading says they are removing makeup, and being a non makeup wearing person, realise that this is definitely not just makeup, makes me not want to trust bored panda headings.
Asian Makeup Transformation
The "elf" one is straightout creepy imo. Her actual face is kind of really cute though, she should try using makeup to underline that instead
It's probably cosplay, not the regular make she'd wear to work every day.
Load More Replies...I was shocked and disappointed that those ears weren't real
Load More Replies...Can someone tell me what it is these ladies are pulling off around their chin? What is it? What's it used for?
Looks like some form of latex stage makeup. Liquid latex is used to add to a face or mask for films and stage etc.
Load More Replies...This is not normal makeup - this is COSPLAY - an entirely different concept. OMG people.
Asian Makeup Transformation
I think they use silicon or tape to draw back their cheeks and chins to get smaller angular look. Not sure tho
Movie actresses in America have been doing that since silent film days. Many actresses (including Joan Crawford) had their back teeth pulled so that their cheeks would sink and they'd look like they had higher cheekbones. ... This is nothing new.
Load More Replies...oh come on look at the chin how gullible can you be to believe this c**p
Asian Makeup Transformation
I agree, Rosie! Someone is lying to these girls. They look great without.....
Asian Makeup Transformation
Everyone changed their nose. Is that the custom to have small noses in that country.
Her face could definitely look a lot more interesting with a type of makeup that emphasises her features rather than erradicate them Whe has a very interesting wide face with large but traditional asian eyes. I'd love to see a different style on her that makes the most of her own features.
Asian Makeup Transformation
She looks like Joan Collins in the first picture. Like her real face better.
I can't comprehend how they make their eyes almost like anime, and their noses so tiny. I need video, I think.
Geez, the first one looks like my mother's Barbie doll from the 1950s... o.o
Asian Makeup Transformation
The eyes... They make the biggest difference. And how do they even make their forehead smaller ? Is it just editing ? Idk
The same way drag queens do it, gluing down your eyebrows and redrawing them in a different position.
Load More Replies...Man, the contacts! Here is the US people like the kartrashians pay money to make their lips bigger and she cheats them smaller.
I've never heard those creatures called kartrashians b4 luv it though!!
Load More Replies...how the hell did she make her eyes bigger before ? they look 2-3 times bigger and her mouth was smaller, make-up ain't doing that s**t.
Dolls look are a big thing in japan, all the young ladies wanna look like sailor moon
Ok, this one is indeed surprising, but the others are really not such a big deal. (Not sure why women want to look like cartoons, though)
Asian Makeup Transformation
Are these ladies taping their faces to get that porclain doll look?
yes, taping, and clipping the tape into their hair under their wigs.
Load More Replies...it's really sad actually to see that they all wear tape to thin out their cheeks and chin. THis is what society has made them think is beautiful, yet they are all beautiful without all the tape and makeup
In some of the videos they are using some type of temporary whitening spray and they’re drinking something before applying makeup. I know people have harsh feelings towards this trend but I believe that it’s a good idea for cosplay which I love to do and the drink is just for curiosity but I’d definitely like to know what specifically it is
This can be way toxic. It's giving you an impression of being someone you're not and that your natural beauty isn't good enough. Is Asian culture way worse with this kind of pressure in comparison to the West?
Asian Makeup Transformation
Why should anyone want to fake their own appearance so much??? Isn't make up ment to underline YOUR beauty...not to look like another person?!...Do that for halloween, cosplay or whatever...
This is a big thing in certain Asian countries. They want to appear as "doll-like" as humanly possible.
Load More Replies...Judy Garland had to use prosthetics like this. Impossible to pull of in real life, but for camera, I guess it works.
That's a shame. I know they didn't think Garland was "pretty enough."
Load More Replies...Some people do this for fun or it makes them feel comfortable about themselves. We all try to make an effort to make our selves beautiful. Asking why a person would do this you should first ask why people idolize celebrities. Being beautiful is considered highly desirable just like money if not more so. Kudos to this girl and all the others for their skill, artistry, and putting in the effort for something they want which is to be beautiful. Despite what anyone tries to say about the non-makeup faces being more beautiful, you’re in the minority. To question them doing this questions why we bother to pay for certain clothing items or why we prefer certain hairstyles. It’d be much more economical and environmentally friendly to all have the same clothing. These gals look good and I’m sure they are treated better and have more options for partners.

I don't understand what society would ever want for people to change themselves this much.....
In Asian cultures it’s pretty common, in korea they encourage the facial surgery a lot in the media. The only way I can tell the difference with k pop artists is the hair color to be honest.
Load More Replies...It's cosplay everyday in japan, some even dress like sailor moon, hentai etc
Bunk dat, who doesn't want to look like a cartoon. Where can I get dis trending new found make up and is it affordable, beats plastic surgery any day of da week if you ask me!!! Luv it.
Wth is wrong with these people,if they look normal they want to look like anime🤣if the hav big nose, eyes they put it small, and if is small they make it big, wtffffff confused
Weetern features are idealized in Asia. Seoul is the plastic surgery caiptal of the world.

In this one I can honestly say I prefer her unchanged look she is beautiful
Load More Replies...Yes, i also thought she is a scary puppet with make up 😱😁 After she is a cool beauty 💖
I honestly don't think I could take this girl seriously if I met her with that makeup on...
Asian Makeup Transformation
Not that much different. They should have taken the pictures with the same expression, before and after.
Asian Makeup Transformation
Not seeing much difference on this one, looks like your average(fairly well done) natural-style makeup
I was thinking the same. She didn't mess up her natural beauty too much.
Load More Replies...This is one of the few that her makeup actually looks natural, looks like she may have been making her skin look lighter for some reason but she looks naturally pretty.
In Asia lighter skin is considered more beautiful than tan skin. They have specialist skin whitening beauty products
Load More Replies...I have a feeling she didn't use the rubber stuff, and that's why there isn't much of a difference.
Sucks that she has to spend hours to put in a fake face to look the same.

Yet for years Western chicks have been trying to emulate the East Asian eye shape and obsessing over Japanese culture and aesthetics...
Load More Replies...Someone enlighten me as to how they make their eyes so big and beautiful???? I need this!
I can't figure out what they are using to make their eyes look so big and beautiful???? Someone please enlighten me.
Asian Makeup Transformation
the area around the last face looks super pixelated. the size of the face and hands don't match.
That's what I was thinking. It's like she has little kid hands.
Load More Replies...But she's lovely without the makeup too. I wonder if her skin tone would be so uneaven if she didn't abuse her skin with all this tape and makeup? Incredible talent though. It would be fun for cosplay but never as an everyday look.
how are you going to ever meet someone that actually likes you if you wear all this makeup and tape? It's sad really
Asian Makeup Transformation
I hate how some of them look at the last picture, so unhappy or apologetic for the way they REALLY look. It's just sad how some people feel like they have to literally wear a mask to feel "pretty" instead of loving themselves for who they are.
You do realise these girls are all cosplayers right? They do this to resemble anime characters
You do realise that these girls are cosplayers right? They do this to resemble anime and game characters.
What does it say about ourselves that we have so many people with such externalised loci of identity that they are compelled to make themselves up so extremely?! It's Eleanor Rigby writ large...
Freakin' A man..if you think you have to put putty on your nose and tape on your face to make you look pretty, you have a real problem..
every time they remove the nose part, they have to mold another one? Or reusable? What is the name of the tape on their jaw?
Asian Makeup Transformation
This girl is beautiful in her own right, so why the unnatural face to look like something else? Best love and acceptance is self love.
She looks good in both, but let’s not pretend that society doesn’t value certain appearances... Why does anyone wear make up, or cut their hair, or wear certain items, or buy certain cars? She did a great job.
Load More Replies...She didn’t remove the mask...just some makeup. We still aren’t seeing the real person.
this makes me mad. she could look like that without putting silicone all over her face.
It looks like she re-applied a massive amount of foundation or her face and neck between removing the actual make-up and taking the "natural" picture. You can see her natural skin color on her decolletage.
It's so sad that all these beautiful women feel the need to alter their appearance so drastically. Are there really men in Asia who want to date/marry a soulless doll? Cuz a woman must be severely lacking confidence & personality to live in itchy torment just to look a certain way...?
Asian Makeup Transformation
Make up is supposed to enhance or minimise the good or not so good bits. This isn't make up.
her natural face is so pretty, the makeup just makes her look like a doll.
Asian Makeup Transformation
In the After pic, it's like she's thinking "Wow, I feel so much better, after taking all that off."
No, I think she is just holding her face back to have a slimmer chin. It's a very big aspect of beauty standards in Asia.
Load More Replies...wow she's so insecure. she's hiding her cheeks even after removing her make up

"This is why we have trust issues." Sorry that you thought these Asian girls were all born with round blue eyes that take up 1/3 of their face.
Yeeeah... If one is stupid enough to actually believe that these girls have managed to live their whole life without their eyes falling on the floor it might be a nice realitycheck when the tape comes off xD
Load More Replies...What is defined as "make up"? Clearly these women were removing a latex prosthetic, and not just simple makeup. In Hollywood it is known as spirit gum, which is akin to what these ladies used
Spirit gum is actually an adhesive used to attach a prosthetic. They were most likely using some form of latex, foam, silicone or something they built using 3rd degree.
Load More Replies...Am I the only one who preferred the pictures on the right? Many of them looked really cute! Someone of the makeup left ones were kinda creepy with the way-too-pale skin and unrealistic jaw line...
The fake noses coming off were really strange for me to watch, but I'm also super impressed with their talent and artistry! They look beautiful without any makeup at all, and the looks they put so much effort into are also amazing! Though I hope it's just for special occasions or cosplay, it would be fun to have such talent for something like that. But I couldn't imagine doing that every day and never having your "real face" show.
I wish I could get hold of some.. make my old face look young again :(
Load More Replies...Can people stop using the word "Trust" when describing these kind of posts? It really feels like linking aesthetics to character in a very weird way. "You would prefer your face look different and found a way to accomplish that, so you're not a trustworthy person." And it completely encourages the type of behavior your criticizing when you'd rather women not be so "fake" with their appearance but you have such a negative reaction to their real faces that it shatters your entire world view and system of "trust" in other people. Also, what's wrong with you that a woman's face shatters your entire world view and system of "trust"?
Fully agreed. That whole "can't trust women for makeup" thing is a toxic meme. Shame on this contributor for using that language. It could have easily taken the approach of cosplay and theatre (which is what this level of "makeup" is about). When it comes to makeup, women can't f*****g win. It's either "they're being fake/lying" or "they must wear makeup for us".
Load More Replies..."You'll never be able to trust anyone again." you thought these girls really had eyes that took up 80% of their face, had lips with such bold colours and had colourful eyelids?
I once saw Face/Off and now I will never be able to trust a John Travolta or Nicholas Cage movie again.
Wow that is some talent! Now I know that make-up done right, can make your eyes appear bigger, but do they put contact lenses to make the iris bigger too? That always baffled me.
Yes they use contact lenses. Some in the vid remove them.
Load More Replies...It's not make up, whe she just takes off a mask she is wearing... Ugh.
That doesn't look like something you'd use to just go out to a store or even a date, more like something you'd use for an anime style photoshoot or something(most of it, anyway). In the sense of creating an image, that's kinda really cool. In the sense of highlighting the natural beauty which imo is the biggest and best purpose of makeup in actual everyday life, not so much. I mean, if they do actually go out shopping, dating, just hanging out like that on a regular basis that kind of is a bit disturbing. If they're more like cosplaying, that's impressive.
True. Up close and in person all the make-up would be weirdly noticeable.
