Anar Agakishiev, 32, is a professional makeup artist from Azerbaijan who has an incredible talent. He can make women up to 80 years old look almost half their age.
From his studio in Baku, Mr. Agakishiev works daily glamorising and highlighting the natural beauty of his clients. Without detracting from his work (which is very good), I don't understand the need to appear younger. What's wrong with getting old? I'd like to see if any man would be willing to do this every day. I don't think so!
Not aiming at anyone in particular, but my Grandma used to say: you have to grow old with grace and class. She never wore make-up. Ever. And still I remember her looking great. And another thing - you will look way better when you accept yourself the way you are, with wrinkles, white hair, brown spots and all other looks-features that will come with aging. People who like themselves have a special glow to them :) I ain't saying these women don't like themselves or anything, it's just a general remark. I also think that a transformation like that can be good fun :)
I agree with your thoughts, these ladies do look glamorous, but their make up-free faces are so much more interesting-and interesting faces are so much more attractive to me. Both looks are beautiful, I just personally liked the "before" pictures because you can see a little of their life stories there.

Not a thing! I love the way lines on a person's face tell their story; whether they've laughed more than wept, whether they spent hours frolicking on the beach without a care..whether they were fastidious or carefree. Nothing more beautiful to me than character.
I agree. These make me sad. They have lost all their personalities and essentially look the same. I think of how noble O’Keefe or Khalo were... what a travesty if they looked like this.
You really think Frida Kahlo didn't wear makeup? She did so almost all the time, she just didn't pluck or shave her unibrow and mustache and didn't try to hide it with makeup. She very often wore at least lipstick and blush if not a touch of powder.
Rather than old many look miserable and poor over the years. I suppose this make up gets the best out of us but it'll probably not change their lifes.
The sad truth of the world is that no matter how many of us or how much people say that real beauty is from inside, actions speak louder than words and society as a whole really does place more value on women if they look younger or more beautiful. As much as we want to move forward and be valued for more than our looks, the world refuses to let that happen and in turn it leaves a huge percentage of women feeling far less than valuable when they don't look up to a certain standard.

I find the light in the makeover picture playing a fundamental role. Also full-cover foundation + enlarging eyes with makeup and artificial eye-lashes does the trick. Overall nice to see, but hell, put a wallpaper on your face everyday... :/
Many are also wearing contacts to make their eye look bigger and lighter, and some even seen to be wearing wigs since their hair length is different.
