Some things in this world need time to mature. Cheese and wine, relationships, our self-esteem… But they are not what this post is about. Quite on the contrary—we will be looking at things that miserably failed the test of time and made it into full walk of shame mode.
Thanks to the subreddit “Aged Like Milk” and its 713k devoted members, we have this precious collection of some pretty things, said or done, making a solid U-turn. “A subreddit dedicated to all those things in media and elsewhere that didn’t stand the test of time, at all,” states the community’s description and here you go, my attention is yours.
Let's scroll through some of the sourest cases below that will remind us all to think twice before letting something out into this world.

Not to start an argument but I've heard that Brazil's Alberto Santos-Dumont was the first to fly successfully. Flying without any slingshot-like devices.
I don't like semantic arguments on who was first, when the "firsts" were so indecisive. It's arguing whether something counted or not. A less-disputable fact is who made the first powered flight of all time, which was Henri Giffard who piloted a steam-engine powered airship 17 miles in 1852. That's a much more decisive 'first'.

Without proper knowledge and training the calculator is pretty useless. We have literally access to the worlds knowledge in our pocket and people believe earth is flat and vaccines cause autism. Mankind didn't age well.
It is the same answer to these questions: Why try to remember anything when Google is in your pocket? Why try learning foreign languages when a translator apps is a click away? Why try learning to read when your smartphone can dictate it for you?
We not only have a calculator, we also have a clock, alarm, timer, stopwatch, calendar, stereo...
What will all you youngins do when the apocalypse comes ? Only folks that know how to add can be on my zombie slaying team
imagine if they were letting you use calculator for basic calculus. The world would be even more damp now, if that´s possible.
In order to not regret things you said or did and make them stand the test of time, you gotta be really good at decision making and being aware of what the future holds. But even then, it’s just a very human thing to do.
Unless you’re a superforecaster. It’s the practice of prediction that covers everything from whether a currency will become stronger, one country will invade another, or there will be civil unrest in a city. Superforecasters calculate the probability of something happening and then adjust that as circumstances change. In this way, they’re able to come up with consistent predictions.

George Floyd was not admirable, but he was a human being who deserved to be treated with basic human dignity. The justice system should have given him accountability and any help he needed. Instead it murdered him for a very trivial offence.
Okay then - yes, George Floyd was not 100% innocent. Yes, George Floyd was not a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Does that make it okay for him to be brutally killed in front of groups of people, strangled although he said he could not breathe? No!
Yep, it's wrong to bring up her past transgressions, but these same people never let us forget Floyd had a criminal record(as if he deserved to die because of it) She doesn't get a pass just because she was in the military.
Wow. The comment section is heated af. I just want to give my opinion. Even if one wants to argue that Chauvin didn't kill George Floyd, denying medical attention to a sick/dying person, more so a person who kept shouting "I can't breathe" is murder on its own.
Her "legacy" is that she was a gullible idiot who tried to overthrow the government. Not something to be proud of.

According to Bloomberg, superforecasters did not accurately predict Brexit, putting the chances of a Leave vote at 23% in June 2016—the month of the referendum. It would be so sad if this person gave it away and then a month later discovered that they were sitting on covid gold
A friend of mine did that when cleaning out a relative's house came across a few 50 count boxes of surgical masks. He gave them to me because I have cats, and am allergic to the litter dust and wear them when I clean my cat boxes. So I wind up with about 350 masks that "I'll never use in my lifetime." Microsoft Employees Holding A Funeral For The iPhone Following The "Success" Of Their Windows Phone
This is the problem companies have... concentrating on what others are doing and not themselves. Apple might be a horrible company, but for the longest time, they acted like everyone else didn't exist, they compared their new phones with their old phones
Yes! That was always Apple's superpower. "This thing that's borderline impossible with today's technology and market, let's figure out how to mass produce it". Microsoft was once like this too with software in the early days of PCs.
Load More Replies...Windows Phone was actually pretty nice, I had one. It just couldn't get a foothold in the market due to the dominance of Android and iOS. Hardware and OS were good, but people didn't develop apps for it and that killed it.

Both these photos can be true. Y'all know where meat comes from, right?

Lol. The internet is basically a utility like water and electricity now.
This is why I roll my eyes at surveys about the mindset of this group or that group: one could make survey results to say whatever you want them to. It depends so much on who is being asked and what the questions are. There's a big difference between "Do you see yourself using technology in the future if improvements are made?" and "How often do you turn off the internet because of issues with access?", for example. And it also depended on if you were asking people who were comfortable with the technology or if they were intimidated by it.

I really don't care if "They" know where I am (i.e. GPS), because I'm not likely to be doing anything interesting, but I absolutely HATE how Google listens to me! Its response was to pop up with "It looks like I've upset you - would you like to make a complaint?" Nearly drop kicked the bloody thing out the window...

Kodak even had a chance to be huge again in the 2010s, but once again made a terrible business decision. They are the inventors of OLED technology. There is indeed a bit of bias with some countries, because of which even the worst songs get at least some points (e.g the 12 points exchange between cyprus/greece), but if you have a really good song you will end up on the left hand side of the score board.
