We reached out to Viktoriia Otdielnova behind the Angry Kitzia Instagram account, sharing the everyday moments from her cat's life. As a matter of fact, one of those moments is a part of our post, so make sure to check it out.
We wanted to find out more about the kitty who’s going viral thanks to her unique facial features that give her a “grumpy” look. The owner shared with us how she first noticed her cat had this look: “I first noticed Angry Kitzia's distinctive facial expression when she was a kitten. It seemed to develop as she grew, becoming more pronounced over time.”
Viktoriia added that interestingly, despite her "angry" look, Kitzia's personality is quite the opposite: “She's actually very sweet and affectionate, often seeking out cuddles and attention from anyone around her. Her grumpy expression is more of a funny quirk than an accurate reflection of her demeanor.”

We were wondering what are some of the typical reactions from her Instagram followers when Otdielnova posts pictures of her cat: “I typically receive a mix of reactions from my followers. Some find her grumpy face hilarious and endearing, while others are surprised to learn that she's actually a very friendly cat behind the scowl. Overall, though, she has garnered quite a dedicated fanbase who love seeing her unique expressions.”
Lastly, Viktoriia shared with us some behind-the-scenes regarding capturing the perfect “grumpy cat” photo: “It usually involves a bit of patience and a lot of treats! Sometimes I'll catch her in a naturally grumpy moment, but other times I'll gently encourage her to strike her signature expression using her favorite toys or treats as motivation. One funny behind-the-scenes story involves her once stealing a treat right as I was about to take the photo, resulting in a hilariously grumpy shot with her mouth full!”
