Uber Refuses To Refund Passenger Who Got Cheated By The Driver, So He Shares His Shocking Photos Online
Uber has become a phenomenon is the last few years, revolutionizing the ways many of us travel and shaking up the entire local transport industry. However despite its conveniences there are inevitably drawbacks, as this passenger found out to their cost.
Taking an Uber ride in Las Vegas, things turned from bad to worse for the user, who later uploaded snippets of a conversation with the company on Imgur.
The incident shows that while Uber is great for quick and easy trips around town at an unbeatable price, it does seem quite easy for drivers to charge a cleaning fee on their word and a blurry photo or two. While it is of course possible that the user did indeed have some incontinence issues, the accusation and the evidence provided leave plenty of room for dispute and put the user at risk of a dishonest or just plain grumpy driver taking them quite literally to the cleaners.

Buckle up for a memorable Uber ride in Las Vegas that turned from bad to worse in mere minutes
Naturally, after receiving a receipt like this the rider contacted customer service about the mix-up
Here’s how it all went down from the rider’s point of view

Share on Facebook....true and as far as that goes, we cant tell if that photo is from the back seat or the front seat. Driver may be trying to collect for the mess THEY made. :)
Load More Replies...So where is the cleaning invoice from the company that cleaned the seat? I doubt one was provided and I doubt if that cleaning service were contacted they would deny having touched this car.
I don't trust those so-called 'disrupting' companies that use self employed people as employees. That's not sharing economy for common people. It just uncontrolled, low wage economy with an aura of being cool. The're just cheap but someone has to pay for it, mostly the employee or the taxpayer.
There are definitely good and bad aspects of it. I think certainly Uber is going down the drain. I've always used Lyft, and I have never had a problem with them. The key to everything is finding the right balance, and so often most companies allow greed to take over.
Load More Replies...and this is just another reason why I NEVER use Uber. They are a predatory company that does not care at all for their customers.
Law$uit, people! There are attorneys who work on contingency, quit trying to negotiate with these clowns.
I've only used Uber once when my friend's car wouldn't start and she needed to get to my birthday party. She works at a legal office downtown which is clearly marked with the address on the front of the building. Uber never showed up but charged me for the ride. I told them there were plenty of witnesses that saw her waiting for 45 minutes but they didn't care. I'll NEVER give them a second chance.
He probably was, doesn’t mean he didn’t get out shortly after report the “urine”
Load More Replies...Is it just me, if driver had 2 arrest warrants out on him, wouldn't police have arrested him and taken him to police station? So when would driver have submitted cleaning claim to Uber
i read another version of this else where, they didn't go on their merry way, they had to bail on that uber and get another ride, there is no reason to believe the driver was not arrested. Also, if you look at the time stamps, the billing for cleaning wasn't on the same day as the ride, the ride ended at 10:37pm (37 minutes to go 4 miles, they obviously got delayed), but the time stamp for the cleaning charge message was 9:57pm, so unless they had a time machine and got billed before the ride was over, they were charged at a later date.
Load More Replies...If there were warrants out for his arrest he would have been arrested, so fake story. The fact they let him go proves you are lying.
Wait, the rider is claiming that the driver had not one, but TWO ARREST warrants PLUS suspended plates, yet was allowed to continue on his merry way? I. Don't. Believe. You. Someone pissed his/herself and is trying to get out of a cleaning fee.

Load More Replies...This is why I would never use Uber :/ (it doesn't exist in my country, but even if it did I wouldn't dare). It just seems very unsafe to me. idk. I'm sure most drivers are good people, absolutely , but there is something about getting into a stranger's car that I don't trust, and this just goes to show that Uber doesn't really have much info about the people driving for them either..
Uber is only using the drivers of today for a couple more years when the self drivers will take over. They won't even get a goodbye kiss or unemployment.
Calling Bullsh*t ~~ in LV, in the USA ... the driver is permitted to drive off despite outstanding warrants and expired plates. Nope, nada, nunca.
I think it’s a total lie. You have to resubmit paperwork constantly and they keep asking for updates on all your credentials. I don’t buy this story. It does not sound like uber. They give refunds for everyone all the time
I have to call b******t on passenger .. rideshares always monitor driver records , passengeris just pissed ..literally
If the plates were suspended they would not have allowed the driver to leave. If there were 2 warrants for his arrest they would have arrested him. Sounds like someone trying to get out of cleaning fee.
I don’t believe it. Mthey keep, close tabs on our plates , Ins and everything. I’m always submitting c**p . I don’t bli venthe rider at all.
I can honestly say I've never read a good article about Uber. From everything I've heard about them, they sound like a horrible company.
How else is the driver gonna pay those tickets and fines? Jeez people, have a heart or something
Nope, I'm pretty sure Uber would charge another customer for that too!!!lol
It happened to me something like that, in Mexico I took a uber for like 3 streets since it was 4 am and I was not going to walk alone, the driver saw I was a foreigner and I woke up in the next day with a cleaning fee, the driver sent fake pics of a car completely covered in vomit saying i did it and uber customer service took it as the absolute truth I had to fight a lot and demand to get the pic by email to see the properties of date and time once I asked for that uber sent me a full refund, but it was a big stress and I def didnt want to see those vomited cars pics.
Uber did not allow me to use a gift card that my daughter put on my account, nor would they accept my credit card, my debit card, or cash. I repeatedly asked for help and never got any help. They just kept referring me to the page with the instructions on how to enter the cards, which I had already read numerous times. They never responded to the issues that I raised. They refuse to refund the gift card. They email me periodically to let me know they still have that money. Thanks. How about giving it back to me?
No. Just no. There must be some kind of way to reclaim the unjustfiedly paid amount! It cannot be that they just, based on one person's word that is very disputed and very plausibly so. Of course, accidents can happen, but the embarrasment they cause, every incontinent person will employ means that likely prevent leakage to the outside, such as PVC panties over diapers, or change before leaving the house regardless. Very calming, that, given that some of the best sold adults' diapers, at times, had flaws that could allow for liquid to leave them, without being damaged, worn out, or filld beyond capacity. The last generation's Tena Slip with a foil at the outside sweated off a kind of filtered urine, which could become visible from the outside, depending on what else you'd wear (tight and bright pants, ...).
An expensive lesson - cancel Uber and use Lyft. If Uber did it once, they should be expected to do it a second time.
Is there audio of the police saying that? I know how strict Uber is with driver ratings, 2/3 of my riders gave me 5 stars and I still lost my driver status with 4.6 stars (I could have spent $100+ to take a class to get it back, but I wasn't making enough in the first place.) Either side could be faking it, but if there is audio; then the rider is probably telling the truth. I had some horrible drunks, had to drive at 2 am to get enough riders (Vegas would have a lot of drunks 24/7.) Most uber riders don't tip, I know rich generous people who thought tips were included and didn't tip before they knew.
Wow why Lyft is mostly better than Uber they are super kid friendly and Friendly
This car should not even aloud to be on the road ,uber is responsible to make sure the cars even valid licences and the driver has no warrant against him,sue Uber for failing on there part
Looks like the driver was recovering his fines by bogus charges.. I will think twice before I use Uber again.
You also notice that the passenger never complained about the "trip time" - which I'm guessing affects the price. If the story were true - you would think he would also be saying he isn't going to pay for the time that the guy was being "detained" by police. Hmmmm.......
That is such bull on Uber's part. Will definitely hesitate next time I need a ride somewhere
The starting point for this Uber ride was the Cosmopolitan, known for catering to the young, rich, frequently entitled, and often drunken. I'm not saying their story is bogus, only pointing out that the riders may not be lily-white.
I had reservations about tis service, but I don't think I want to risk riding with people who have warrants for their arrest. I had wondered if these people were screened good. These days one can't be to careful.
Hope the driver gets nailed hard for those outstanding warrants, and I hope the police impound his car. Guy deserves it. As far as Uber...I don't know if its possible to find out, but if the guy is a felon, can't they go after uber for putting them in danger? I'd certainly try.
UBER is a bait-n-switch con-sceme........they got me two weekends ago and I will never ride with them again!!
I'm surprised there are no feces n the driver's seat because if I were caught with two warrants out for my arrest I'd s**t myself.
You know, they get all kinds of breaks compared to regular legitimate taxi and limousine drivers. No requirements for upkeep, car service, regulations suspended, no security cameras, and just basically dicey f**king drivers. No protections for citizens for damages or redress, no guarantees of their safety. And they still can't keep their s**t together, while legitimate taxi and limousine drivers are regulated right out of business. Well that's laissez faire capitalism for you.
I would never get into a stranger's car in the first place. Problem solved!
I'm not sure about Uber, but my mom worked for Lyft previously. They do background checks and assess your car before you can work.
Load More Replies...My guess is the passenger is the one with expired plates - which is why he was taking Uber and the passenger is the one with two warrants for his arrest which is why he pissed his pants when the cops surrounded the car. Uber! Wow! They keep on surprising me! A passenger got killed by an Uber driver in my city, Beirut - Lebanon!? I'm serious, Google it!
Disgusting treatment of passengers. A VERY good advert for NEVER, EVER using uber!
