Economist by profession and photographer by calling, Andy Prokh takes charming black-and-white photos of his 4-year-old daughter and their cat. He’s been capturing the beautiful friendship ever since his offspring Katherine was born. At that time the pet was already two years old, so Katherine has spent her entire life with LiLu Blue Royal Lada. The British Shorthair seems to enjoy playing with the girl as much as she does.

Turns out a cat doesn’t necessarily have to be grumpy to become and Internet sensation: meet Sam, the ever-surprised kitten, whose eyebrows made him an Internet hit overnight! Black markings over his eyes make the cat look as if he has eyebrows going through the roof. Sam’s pictures went viral instantly, and he now has over 10.000 followers on Instagram.

Eight years ago 88-year-old Misao met a wonderful companion – an odd-eyed kitten that found his way to the shed. Grandmother and her odd-eyed feline friend have been doing everything together ever since. The woman still goes out into the fields every day, and Fukumaru follows her every step. These pictures portray their peaceful daily life where they eat, rest, water the plants and do their chores together.

Architecture firm Because We Can, led by interior designer Jillian Northrup and her husband architect Jeffrey McGrew, had to turn an under utilized room in a private residence into a highly functional and inspirational place to work from home. Besides turning the room into a splendid mad science lair, they also made what Northrup calls “the fist step to greater cat mobility throughout the room”. The Cat Tube stretches around the room and gives the cat access to the top of the armoire. There’s even a couple of small windows that let you see where your cat is going. Just take my money already!

People have been applying prosthesis to help the handicapped ones ever since the Egyptians – but probably only recently we realized, we’re not the only ones suffering the pain on Earth. If you’re a dog person, you might get a bit skeptical about this post. Just another cute kitten hitting the internet, right? But seriously – isn’t Daisy just the loveliest, fuzziest little ball of fur EVER? These incredibly cute photos were done by Daisy’s owner Ben Torode, who’s not even a professional photographer. Australia-born, Japan-based guy works as a translator, but photographs kittens for a hobby and sells the photos on Getty Images.

No, it’s not photoshopped! This adorable “two-faced” kitten posted to reddit as “the coolest cat ever” is real and even has a facebook page. It was actually found on a dairy farm in North Carolina and adopted almost 3 years ago in September 2009. “She’s as sweet as can be….gentle, loving, and has this little tiny kitten like “meow” even though she is 3 now. She acts like a big baby in the way that she loves to be babied. She doesn’t bother any furniture with her claws and uses a scratching post. She does not have one single bad habits……she’s perfect!” says the owner of the coolest cat ever.

These wonderful photos were taken in 1961 by Ralph Crane documenting “Black Cat Auditions in Hollywood.” A shot of Vincent Price suggests that this audition must have been for Tales of Terror (1962) by Roger Corman.
