A few words about magic of colours, patterns and funny graphics
A recipe for success? Be happy! Pharrell Williams, who has quite recently captured our hearts with his hit song titled “Happy”, knows it very well. Interior designers know it too, and while sharing their creative ideas, they try to make every interior design lover happy. Can our home interior have a happy vibe to it? Yes, thanks to the right selection of colours and inventive, playful graphics.
COLOURS CAN DO IT ALL!
Chromotherapy, healing with colours, is implemented by more and more people nowadays. Bioenergy therapists use fascinating powers of different colours of the rainbow very successfully. Some of them help us relax, while others are stimulating. We can create our own mini chromotherapy practice at home. A bucket of paint, a roll of wall mural or colourful china can be more than enough. Everything that comprises the interior decoration of our place may help us feel better. A positive mood is the result of colour selection at home. Here are the most important and cheerful colours:
Red is the most stimulating colour. It encourages positive thinking, facilitates the decision-making process and gives us an energy boost. Despite its positive qualities, let us not use too much of red in our homes. The reason? Red colour is intensive, attracts attention and strongly influences anyone in its vicinity. It is best used as a complement to the whole design. It can be in the form of strawberry-red carpet or cherry coloured pillows.
Yellow and orange have a positive effect on human psyche a well. They are the colours associated with nature, the rays of sunlight, fresh lemons and delicious oranges. Yellow and orange are linked to summer holidays, bring back wonderful memories and remind us about our dreams. They are very joyful and optimistic colours too. Like red, they can be used in the form of additional decorations, although they are also recommended as the leading motif for our interior design. Yellow walls are perfect for the dining room, as well as for the office. They motivate us to work and enhance our creativity. What else could we want?
Green is a flagship colour of nature. We all know its soothing values, but apart from that, green helps us focus on the tasks at hand. It has anti-stress effect and can emphasise any place in a subtle way.

FUNNY GRAPHICS AND MOTIVATING POSTERS
Not only colours bring some positive energy to our homes. Motivating posters and funny quotes from our favourite movies placed on the walls have a similar effect. If we are interested in music, we should hang some pictures from concerts. We can make an interesting sequence – from the first shows we attended to the most recent ones. We can leave several frames empty, to be able to fill them up with more photos later on. Similarly, if we are interested in mountain walking trips, but they are our unfulfilled dreams so far and we do not have any keepsakes or photos from such trips, we can use a wall mural with a mountain vista on it. Such spectacular view will motivate us to take steps towards fulfilling our dreams.
We need to remember that nothing influences us in a better way than something we love!
