My name is Zi Wei Tan and I am a Singapore-based art director. After watching countless movies, I noticed a trend that I am sure most of you will be aware of. In most of Leonardo Dicaprio’s movie, he was always portrayed as this central character with a signature suit that you will be seeing him wearing throughout the whole movie (best example is Shutter Island because he was stuck on an island for the whole movie). So I got my inspiration and initiated this project to document the suits from his movies as a way to pay tribute to efforts of the behind-the-scene stylists of the movies.
The series focus on creating strikingly minimalist posters that feature close-ups of the suits actors wore in the different films. In creating these posters, I hope to highlight an interesting sartorial element of the movies that you may have missed.
