Back to The Future with Irina Werning

By • Feb 17th, 2011

Irina Werning, a photographer born in Buenos Aires, started an interesting project called “Back to The Future” where she takes someone’s old photo and recreates the same old scene with the same person many years later. While it might not sound too complicated, she is unbelievably accurate – it seems that she just found some old and young look-alikes and shot two pictures on the same day.

Women At Work In The 1940′s

By • Jul 23rd, 2010

Before the WWII few women followed careers. Most jobs for women were ‘traditional’ roles such as nursing, secretarial or caring jobs.

Only when millions of men joined the armed forces, women took on an active role in World War II and took on many paid jobs that previously had been held by men – such as bank teller, shoe salesperson or aircraft mechanic. It’s hard to believe but some of your grandmothers actually made WWII bombers!

17 Colorful High-Speed Water Figures

By • Apr 6th, 2010

At first, I thought they get these shots simply by mixing some paint with water and than dripping it while manually trying to catch the very best moments with a hand-held camera.
