World‘s ugliest dog contest is an annual event where people gather to celebrate their adorably... ugly pets.
The festival, which is counting its 30th years, was held in San Francisco Bay area on Saturday night, where after a tight competition the title was given to a 9-year-old English bulldog named Zsa Zsa. The imperfections of the beloved dogs are something that shines in this competition – some of the canines have no hair, others have really long tongues.
This year, Zsa Zsa became the ugliest of them all, and her owner is about to receive a $1,500 prize. This dog was a puppy mill dog for 5 years, where she was put in a dog auction at the end. After Underdog Rescue purchased her, she was adopted by a family that appreciates her beautiful personality and different looks. Do you think Zsa Zsa really has what it takes to be "the ugliest"?

But, why are her nails pink? I mean it's fine if it's natural(how though?), but I see no reason to paint a dog's nails. The nail polish could be very likely containing harmful chemicals that can affect a dog's health.
Nothing wrong here that a change of nail varnish wouldn't cure !!
I would adopt him in a heartbeat. What a sweetie and what’s not to love xxxxx
Aww she's so goofy looking she's cute 💗 u can tell she's a sweet pup with a heart of gold
Do you? Do you think this kind of overbreeding should be done to all dogs? Shame.

It is yes... this breed has been bred way too far. Skin problems, eye problems, back problems, leg problems, heart problems, mouth and tooth problems, breathing and lung problems. So all in all, a horrible situation and ppl still think the dogs are cute even if they are pretty much in agony all the time. People are IDIOTS.
Load More Replies...I agree with all of the love being sent by everyone but my daughter has a bulldog that needs constant medical care because, well, her dog is a bulldog. See the insanely red skin on this poor dog? It takes steroid upon steroid to help it clear up. I recently spent a week visiting my daughter/family and never met Matilda before the visit. I had tears in my eyes for three days just listening to her try to breathe!!!! She is a darling dog and I’ll prob catch some flak for this, but I believe in my heart of hearts that the breed should either be allowed to end naturally or at least cross breed it with another breed that will help it out. I have 4 dogs, one is a rescue from the streets. I’m not heartless and I would do anything for my babies. Do the research or better yet spend a day with one of these poor babies.
This is not cute. This is indicative of the breeding industry. Bulldogs have been bred to be so unhealthy, as with a lot of other breeds where humans have to mess with them until they can barely breathe, have joint and skin problems so bad as to be painful and debilitating. This is NOT CUTE. This is sad for her and disgusting for the breeders that caused her.
But you can't blame the bulldog. I'm just thrilled that someone got her out of that situation and into a loving home. I always adopt from shelters - overbreeders need to be shut down!

Why would you paint a dogs nails and put a nappy on them? Just wrong
YOU ARE THE UGLY ONE HE FULL OF LOVE AND BEAUTY THAT YOU WILL NEVER FEEL IT
This does not look like a healthy dog. It looks to me like a case of breeding (and race standards) gone wrong. That said it is surely at very lovable dog.
UGLIEST DOG?! WAHHHHTTT Look at that face and tell me it's not FRICKIN ADORABLE
She looks more like trouble (diaper, saliva, can't walk, special food, snores...) than like an ugly dog. She looks fine for her age and condition, sure is sweet. Just stop painting her nails and fur, this is sick.
Agreed! The claw paint is off-putting, to put it lightly...
Load More Replies...why the heck is that dog the ugliest dog?!?! First of all, why should anything be sorted into that category anyway, second, why the heck does it matter, and third, that dog is really cute to me!!
Made me think of the dog "creature" that was in The Fly 2 :) thefly2.jpg
Where is there a competition to rank the worlds ugliest dog, dogs are all amazing.
I just love the tongue the dog looks very happy, glad she has a good family
Are you stupid or just r******d? Who in their right mind calls THAT a "very happy looking dog"? That dog is suffering, it is in agony. It can't breathe and it can't eat. That ia NOT a happy dog.
