People Say This Wax Museum Is The Worst In The World And Here Are 19 Pictures To Prove It
No one can argue that wax models are fun. Who wouldn’t like a selfie with the life-like Queen Beyoncé or ex-President Barack Obama? But there’s one wax museum that beats its own purpose—the waxworks are such a far cry from the truth, you may need a second (and a third) guess.
Louis Tussaud's House of Wax in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk has achieved cult status with tourists flocking from all over the world to see the infamous monstrosities. From Victoria Beckham looking like a full-blown Karen waiting to see a manager, to Prince Charles ready to hit a drag lip-sync battle, the misshapen models give a whole new perspective on what the waxwork could be. It could be anything. So let's have a look at some of the worst works down below.

The owners, Jane and Peter Hayes, closed the attraction in October 2012 after running it for half a century. The pieces were sold to a secret Czech collector who surely has unique taste. Jane, 83, told Mirror that “all the models and machines and frames were sold in one go.” But the woman doesn’t know who the chap was.
Peter, who ran the museum for 57 years, admitted in 2008 that the models became so old they were no longer lifelike. According to Dailymail, each figure cost around $1,245 to make. The auction estimated that the whole collection was worth up to $14,943, but it’s not clear for how much it was sold to the buyer.

Named after the great-grandson of Madame Tussaud, the museum was located on Regent Road. According to the BBC, it employed three full-time staff members in addition to the Hayeses. People on Trip Advisor expressed their disappointment with the museum’s closure. “It will be sorely missed,” said one user. The other one called it a “sad loss” and said that “Yarmouth will never be the same...”

Shouldn't we finish painting the rest of the figure? No unscrew the bulb over it. Don't want it to look better than the quality work we have all around it. Dark & menacing is good for me

To teach people about history...Hitler was actually a good friend of Gahndi and before World War Two Gahndi wrote a letter to Hitler begging him not to go to war...he did anyways so actually Hitler may be an actual victim of possession by demon. It's sad. Someone tried their very best at these, with the limited resources they had, and was probably pretty proud of how they turned out and then they read the comments... My heart aches for them.

I live in Great Yarmouth and sadly the wax works closed years ago :( they sold everything off and they are now spread around the world. But its always to see this resurface again and that people have no idea who they are ....

They look like they bought some mannequins on discount and just tried to make them look like celebrities by adding wax, makeup and hair.

The Pope JP 2 one is actually really well done, it looks nothing like John Paul 2nd, but the detail of whoever the hell it is, is marvellous.

I went from the bottom up, so I could GUESS who they were before I saw the name. I only got 6 of them right, and mostly from the clothes. You would think Hitler would have been a no-brainer, but I figured it was Charlie Chaplin....

They look like some described them through the medium of mime to a blind and deaf person and this is what they made.

They may not be brilliantly accurate, but they are not awful. The person who made them clearly tried and with some got quite close. Regardless of their accuracy, the models themselves would seem well made. I think public media can be a forum for unfair sneering. I doubt if any who criticise these models could do anywhere near as good a job.

Hey if you're going to have a cut-rate museum then you're going to have cut rate models. Most of them are pretty obvious who they're meant to be even if they're not the best recreations.

There was a 2005 horror movie called "House of Wax" with Paris Hilton in the cast. (It would have been just as bad without her, btw). It's too bad that the museum with these...creations...has closed. It would have been a great setting for a horror movie. No killer would have been needed, the simple plot is some young people are trapped in the museum and they can't turn out the lights, so they are stuck with these monstrosities!

Great Yarmouth is a very weird place. I did some shop fitting down there a few years ago. After work we went to find a fish and chip shop, when we went in the guy behind the counter was chinese and couldn't speak a word of english so we had to point at what we wanted. He was quite friendly otherwise than that.

The worst part is all of the figures' shoulders are just wrong... just a bit too pointy, too flat, and too low which makes the silhouettes freaky.
