Entitled Mom Steals ‘Golden Double Stuff’ Oreo Pack From Man’s Cart In Parking Lot, Drama Ensues

Interview With Author

Generally, random encounters with members of the public can range from fun to absolutely terrible. But everyone has at least one story of meeting a stranger who for some reason, operates under some delusional set of rules and concepts. One way or another, as time passes, weird, entitled people simply do not disappear.

A man shared his bizarre and somewhat disconcerting experience with an entitled woman that was hell-bent on taking his Oreos. We got in touch with the person who shared the story and they were kind enough to share some more details with us.

Entitled people are everywhere, but one doesn’t expect to meet them in grocery store parking lots

But one man ended up being accused of theft by a woman who really, really wanted his Oreos

Unfortunately, we will probably never know what was going on in her head

Bored Panda got in touch with the man in the story and he was kind enough to share some more thoughts on the entire situation. Naturally, we wanted to know if there was any follow-up, but unfortunately not. “No updates I never did figure out what happened to her. I did talk to the security guard but he did not tell me anything.”

We were also curious to hear his opinion on her motivations. After all, there are people delusional enough to really think that something is theirs, while, more pragmatically, this woman could have simply been a thief with a bad plan. “She definitely was trying to steal them and making an excuse. I don’t know what she was thinking and it wasn’t like I took the last package,” he shared.

Unfortunately, entitled people are at their worst when they put us in situations where you can’t exactly escape easily. Cornering someone in a parking lot is one “good” example, but being stuck on a flight or family gathering is another “classic” case.

We were curious as to why this woman thought she could steal the Oreos

So we also wanted to hear his thoughts on what might be the root cause of entitlement in general and he had a possibly spicy take. “The reason people are so entitled, honestly, is that the generation we are living in today everybody expects handouts. This is not the way I was raised.“

We asked him what the age of the woman in the story was and he suggested she was in her “20s maybe. My parents taught me to work for everything I have. I also know that not how most people are raised 4 I know this sounds like a made up story but it really did happen and if I read it I probably would have thought that same thing but on the other hand I’ve experienced extreme entitlement worse then what happened to me that day.”

There are way too many stories of entitled folks out there

This isn’t the only example of a bizarrely entitled encounter this man has had, so we asked them to share other experiences as well. “Many a lot of the stories are one I have put on Reddit if you want to read them like the lady that wanted me to cut potatoes at work after we ran out of season potatoes the lady that threw a burger at me for accidentally giving her a coke instead of a sweet tea the lady that accused me stealing 17 cents and more!”

Unfortunately, it’s not just this man’s experiences, the internet is littered with tales of folks being rude or unjustifiably demanding. Sometimes even in similar circumstances! While getting some degree of revenge is probably the best course of action, at least shaming online is a close second.

Most folks were somewhat shocked at the tale

I would have said I wanted to watch the security videos and press charges both for stealing and for the false accusation. Even if I dropped them later, but I'd make her s**t her pants. These people play these lunatic stunts because at least half of the times they get away with it. We are all tired, busy and in a hurry, and we tend to think it's not worth having an argument over a box of biscuits. But people like her are dangerous. She made false accusations which could have escalated badly for the OP. I definitely should have pressed charges.

I like one of the responses above, that suggested we be able to whack crazy folks with a stick.

Why isn't "grab my property back and scream at the lunatic who stole from me" one of the poll options?

I still maintain that whacking with a stick be an option in the poll.

Random confession my brother will never see. When I left the living room my chihuahua mix opened your golden oreos and ate them. It wasn't your kids. It was her. I'm sorry.

The dialog reads like it was written by a 5th grader with a creative writing assignment who doesn't really know how grown-ups talk. Probably because it was.

I mean, who just has a bag of oreos loose in their cart and not bagged with the rest? And if you no bag it, a bag of oreos wouldn't be sitting there alone anyway. You'd one trip it.

Why would you need to show a receipt? Just hold up the gallon of milk you bought.

I'm a little curious. Why were the oreos just sitting in the cart? Why weren't they in a bag? Were none of the groceries in a bag? If so, why? I'm not saying this story is made up, because there definitely are some crazy people out there, but this seems a little strange.
