I Recreated Famous Logos In The Grotesque Art Style Typical For The Middle Ages (10 Pics)
Hello everyone, my name is Ilya Denisov (pseudonym Ilya Stallone). I am the creator of a series of works "Medieval Branding" and I am a person who simply loves both history and art together.
I decided to imagine what the logos of famous modern brands could look like during the Middle Ages. Therefore, I present to you a selection of ten logos that I created.
If you like my work, subscribe to my accounts where I share my artwork, I will be glad for any support!

I just have to say. These are just fantastic. You have to do more.
I'm a graphic designer. My passions are illustration, logo and branding. My goal is that every one of my next projects is better than the last. I consider myself privileged that I have seen the beauty and power of this profession. Being a graphic designer means being creative, precise, dedicated, free to express yourself.
Burger King
Some Medieval art is thoroughly bizarre. My favourite are where knights are fights small snails and the infamous "rocket cat". Just type in "strange medieval art" into Google Images and have fun. Just beware that some images may not be safe for work.

This is if someone in the Middle Ages said “sure I know what a red panda is” and just used a fox because they really didn’t know.
Load More Replies...This one is great. I love the incorporation of the Oroboros imagery.
Lately, I was in Belarus and visited several medieval castles. This atmosphere encouraged me to create this series of works. I've been designing, illustrating and especially logo making for a long time and I realized that I can combine the work that I love and the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
I cannot say that I am a full-fledged fan of the Middle Ages. But I think that the Middle Ages is quite an interesting period in history and in particular, I was interested in studying the art of the Middle Ages.

"You" was the original plural object form, so probably correct. "Thou, thee" are the subject, object forms in singular, and "ye" is the subject form in plural.
Puma
Testicles were everywhere in the middle ages! A "b*****k knife" was a dagger with the hilt carved into a twig and berries, if you know what I mean! Codpieces enhanced the dingleberries through the 15th century and one-eyed snakes were popular graffiti as far back as Pompeii! The Puritanical reservations about sex and bodies didn't really happen until, well, Puritans did!
Load More Replies...I have been drawing everywhere since childhood, on notebooks, on a desk at school, on the hands of my classmates. My parents noticed my passion for drawing and sent me to art school. This desire to draw has not died out in me to this day. Therefore, I try to embody all my ideas in drawings, both graphic and in a traditional style.
Lacoste
Reminds me of the bear joke. Guy is walking in forest. Bear appears in the path ahead. Guy kneels and starts to pray. Bear also kneels and starts praying. Guy exclaims, "Oh thank god a christian bear". Then he overhears the bear's prayer: "For what I am about to receive, I thank thee o lord..."
The gator looks very worried. "Will this spoil my dinner?" "Does it make me look fat?"
Medieval artists had pattern books, copies, of copies, so the book might have a crocodile in it, the the 14th century artist living in an island off Scotland, hasn’t actually seen a crocodile. They would draw one from the copy book. But the person who put that together hasn’t seen one either, just from their copy book. So you end up with some nonsense, which only resembles the animal in spirit.
Audi
Neat, though the rings are supposed to be overlapping concentric sound waves. The founder was named August Horch - 'horch' means 'listen' in german, hence Audi! ;)
The rings represent the four companies that made up Audi's predecessor, Auto Union.

I feel uncomfortable... maybe cause the boobs are not censored properly.... BP what are you doing?
What would you consider "proper" censorship then? I see stars as nipples ... I'd consider that censored. Also siren does not care about your prudery.

Just learned about Anasyrma today. And it looks like she's doing exactly that. Those coffee will hold the devil at bay!
Playboy
Think the Playboy parties in modern times were wild, look at that bunny. LOOK! His face says it all. Medieval parties would scar just about anyone with the debauchery that went on! LOL
I think the bunny has been watching the "Secrets of Playboy" documentary.
It's very cleverly done, as it still looks like a camera, yet on a canvas. Very well done.
You should listen to the medieval bards of present-day songs! THEY ARE AMAZING!! Eg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbigmX35ICQ
Thank you for then great tip. I just listened to the track you suggested and it's absolutely brilliant. I really love it. Here's something for you. If you are of a certain age and remember the New Age German group Enigma (they were huge in the 90s) they had a group of singers who had a singing career of their own called Gregorian. They sang popular songs from the 60s until the present day in Gregorian style (hence the name Gregorian) It's really beautiful. Gregorian singing to a rock music background. It really worth listening to if you haven't heard them before. I've given you 2 of their tracks to check out but there are loads more as they brought out a few albums. Here is their rendition of ABBA's Arrival https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfsi0CGbd3o and Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipouElsybfs. ENJOY 😊
