Answer 2: Smaller animals! A common argument against the credibility of the Bible is “how did the dinosaurs fit on the ark?” Well, along with the evolving that I just discussed (meaning less dinosaur species), the dinosaurs were also smaller. Today, because of media, stories, etc. we see dinosaurs as great behemoths of the ancient world, when in reality, the average dinosaur was the size of a chicken, house cat, or small dog. Not to mention, the fossils we find and know, are grown up dinosaurs! OLD ones! If the world was supposed to repopulate from only one pair of each, don’t you suppose that they should be young and fertile? And therefore small! Perhaps even just baby and “kid”animals. Younger animals means smaller animals. And not only that, thousands and thousands of years ago, the earth was different. It is entirely plausible that due to conditions on the planet, animal kind did not grow as large as they do today except at very great age, or if they lived SUPER long.

Answer 3: Sea creatures. Of course, a great part of this world’s animal population lives in the sea. And I think you know the obvious answer for this… they stayed in the sea. Question #2: how did they survive? Answer 1: you say you believe in God. I do, too! I believe in an omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent God. Basically, an ALL-POWERFUL God. If my God is all-powerful, wouldn’t it stand to reason that he wanted to repopulate the earth, he would see it done? Perhaps, some species did die. Perhaps we don’t see all the animals Noah and his family did. If so, then God willed it, and the world turns as he wills. But if he wants something done, then it darn well gets done. See also the answer to question three, as that accounts for the overall health of animal kind.

Question #3: how are we here? Another popular argument against the credibility of the Bible is “they married their sisters?” or “who DID they marry??” Today, if you marry a sibling, or even a second cousin, you are looked at as crazy. Probably because you are! Marrying too closely within your genetic family can result in birth defects, genetic disorders, and just plain issues. But again I take you back thousands and thousands of years ago, where lo and behold, the earth was different. When God created Adam and Eve, there were only two people in the world. How did their children have children? Well, God created the first couple before sin. He made them physically perfect! The world was perfect before the fall. Genetic disorders didn’t exist. Brothers married sisters and cousins married cousins, all with little to no repercussions. And so, the earth was populated! Slowly, because the earth and everything in began to die from the moment the bite was taken, bodies degenerated. Disorders…

…and defects began to pile up. But around Noah’s time, the physical form was still relatively healthy, and there was no issue with marrying your second cousin. Between Noah and his wife, and his three sons and their three wives, who were all saved on the ark, and with the will of God, repopulating the human race would’ve been “no biggie”. This also applies to other animals. Of course, God took care of it later, don’t worry! In Leviticus, when God set down the rules and laws to take care of his people, close family unions were forbidden. (This "Levitical law" is found in Leviticus 18:6-18, supplemented by Leviticus 20:17-21 and Deuteronomy 27:20-23. Among the forbidden couples are parent-child, sister-brother, grandparent-grandchild, uncle-niece, aunt-nephew, and between half siblings and certain close in-laws.) Around when these laws were laid down is when there would’ve started to be issues regarding such close genetic marriages.

I’m going to answer some more questions after this as best I can, but this does for now, and for your first few comments. I hope I’ve given you some new information, and helped a fellow believer in some way come closer to God, and I hope too that it is as interesting and enjoyable for you to learn as it is for me! That doesn't explain how he fit over 5 million species on his boat. My point was even 2 of each--screw it; even 1 of each--would never fit. It also goes against a known, observable, scientific fact: genetic diversity is needed for a species to continue. Even asexual species will eventually suffer because without genetic variation, all are susceptible to the same stressor(s). We are part of that. Sure, God could have made more people appear out of nowhere. Or he could have had people develop the same way he had animals develop. Evolution is an answer to HOW not to WHY. It doesn't preclude the existence of a higher power. We do God an injustice by saying "it's own him." No we are the stewards and we have also been given the clues. We have a responsibility to discover and learn. A responsibility to our fellow human, the planet, and, therefore, God who created and loves all those things.

Another issue I have is that supposedly everyone but Noah's family was wiped out in the flood. His son Ham leaves the family and becomes the first king of Babylon. Whom exactly did he rule over?

Like i said in an earlier comment God made adam and eve they were the first yada yada yada that doesnt mean God cant make mor humans... he just needed a good follower to help the new humans fight sin... but as u know after noah left the both he to came victim to sin...

It’s not each species; it’s each kind. So, a kind of cattle, a kind of dog, etc. And The Ark Encounter built a life size version of the ark and put an amazingly well thought out museum together of what it very possibly looked like. Then, after it was over, the species as we know them now have developed over time from those original types saved in the Ark. ☺️

Looks like this argument went on for a while, if God wanted us to know how all this happened, he would have put, all we know is that it was a very big boat! Who knows how they had the supplies or space, that's all God- it looks like the thing your lacking is faith

There is really good evidence out there for Biblical authenticity and reliability. But honestly, if you don’t want to believe then no amount of evidence will be enough to convince you. The Spirit of God has to do that work in our hearts, but we have to trust that God is there and that he is able to be the God he says he is in His word. If he is God, and author of all knowledge and truth, he can write Scripture through people without error, and preserve it throughout history. ♥️ Ignoring reality is not what we’re doing.
