My 40 Wholesome And Funny Comics Inspired By My Relationship With My Wife (New Pics)

I kind of just make these illustrations and see if people like them. And it seems so. I keep going as it's fun. But if I were to name a goal: it's simply to make people laugh and smile.

I seriously got into art around my freshman year of high school. Outside of class (actually, sometimes in class), I wrote a lot—and also recorded music and performed. Mostly hip-hop stuff and poems. It continued into university but slowly came to a full stop. I then graduated and started working, and had always thought about writing again (as that was the primary passion), but was trying to find out what that would look like. At some point, after a couple of years, I discovered webcomics, and I was like "Okay, I'm going to do this." And now, here I am.

The most difficult part of creating these illustrations is consistent volume. When first getting into comics, I didn't know volume was such an important factor. I've slowly gotten to my current output now, but I have plans to increase it. It's a challenge to consistently come up with new ideas, but I'm up to it.

I started creating these comics in 2018 and I have plans to continue for years—like into or close to retirement years. That would be epic. We'll see. I typically cover: Love, relationships, pop culture, current affairs, work-life, and mental health topics and I would describe my style as wholesome, funny, and relatable. Two things inspire me: It's my creative outlet, and as long as people continue to enjoy them.

My advice for people who want to create art is to just do it, and, ultimately, find their voice. I understand everyone will have a different objective with their art, either to do it casually or to be commercially successful. But for either, you've got to start somewhere, and at some point, an important part is to find your unique voice.
