Tired Of Social Distancing, Corgi Hugs Every Friend He Meets On His Walks
At first glance, 1-year-old Wallace may seem like your typical (and extremely adorable) corgi. Which is already more than great, don’t get me wrong. But if you were ever to take this good boy for a walk, soon enough, you’d notice that there’s something quite unique about this good boy.
Wallace likes hugs. A LOT. Turns out, whenever Wallace is out for a walk and happens to meet his friends, he can’t help but hug them. “He is very playful and beyond sweet,” the corgi’s owner told Bored Panda. “He loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. He ONLY hugs his friends and family. He does not hug random dogs. I want to stress that he is not showing dominance when he does this. It’s really love.”

Before giving his friend a hug, Wallace always makes sure they’re okay with it by sniffing them first. “His little cousin Milo is a cavapoo. He won’t hug her because she is afraid so he just kisses,” the owner explained. What a respectful little guy!

And it absolutely doesn’t matter how big or how small a dog is. If the good boy he met is a smaller one, Wallace tries his best to be gentle so he doesn’t scare them. When it comes to larger doggies, Wallace fearlessly comes up to them, stands up on his hind legs and gives them a warm hug.

“He first hugged his friend Charlie and we were blown away. They were hugging and kissing. Then he did it to a few other dogs he knows well and we realized it was a ‘thing,'” the owner told Bored Panda.
“We think it’s hilarious, but so happy he makes so many people smile,” the owner told us

“He is from a breeder in Michigan. Normally we rescue dogs, but my son went to Corgi Beach Day in California several years ago and started our obsession with corgis,” the owner explained.
Turns out, Wallace is as affectionate with his family members as he is with other dogs

Apparently, this short-legged cutie is as affectionate with his family members as he is with other dogs. “We feel sooo lucky to have such a little lover boy. No joke that his middle name is Casanova. When we saw he had a heart-shaped nose as a baby, we just knew he’d be a sweetie,” the owner told us.

Load More Replies...as cute as that is, it isn't really a hug the way humans know it. It is a show of dominance. and the fact that the other dogs allow him to show this dominance is the amazing thing. :D
dominance in dogs is a myth. it is not how they think nor behave. as part of my job working with dogs I was trained by a dog behaviorist.
Load More Replies...This is so cute!! God knows we all need this sort of feel good story at the moment. I also love the little corgi who does the sweet little AWOOO after she finishes eating. So precious that my heart swells!
It's just a normal dog behavior and a clickbait about corgis and covid, come on? Every dog is a "hugger", it's just the "who is the boss" notorious game between dogs. "i'm too young i have to surrender" 20180617_1...21dc1e.jpg
"I will try this time i'm almost an adult" 20181229_1...84ee1b.jpg
Load More Replies...Yes great! Achondroplasia is great, hip dysplasia is great, retinal atrophy is great, myelopathy is great, anemia and blood clotting troubles are great! If you do think that all these things are great, great for the dog and for you as an owner to take care of it and the medical costs, this is ok. If you don't, don't have a corgi.
Load More Replies...Don't try this at home. I tried this and I ended up having the cops called on me and tested positive for Covid-19
