Mirror Sisters is a little fun project I started doing with my 7 year old twin girls, Emma and Sophie. In all these years they have hardly ever dressed alike. I was very much against it.

They have always chosen their own clothes and have both developed unique styles suiting their personalities perfectly. When they would want to ‘twin’ their outfits I would let them, but made sure they knew I wasn’t too excited about it, mostly because it made people see them as one.

When the girls received the same blue dress twice from their grandmother for the holiday, they put it on and a scene from ‘The Shining’ came to mind. I took their picture. The result, I thought, was lovely and interesting, so we keep rolling with it!
