For example, a 2011 study looking at data from more than 60,000 people found that our ability to recognize faces continued to improve as we age—until just after we hit age 30. "At almost any given age, most of us are getting better at some things and worse at others," lead study author and MIT department of brain and cognitive sciences researcher Joshua Hartshorne commented to Business Insider.

No, you don't say. Who'd have thought they would think of that! However if you are buying a new one, it is a good question to ask how easy the doors are to change sides. Some don't, some are easy and some are a right royal pain in the jacksie. We had to send on back as the retaining nut for the the bolt on the alternate side was missing and the hinge wouldn't stay in place - and to make matters worse, I had to put it all back together as it came to return it. At least we made them carry back down 2 flights of stairs!
Not sure about the refrigerator foor, but the door is reversible too!

You would be surprised how many people dont know this. Dad's a lefty so everything in the house was opposite! People thought we were weird.
When I got my new fridge, the guy starts popping on the logo and door handles, but it opened backwards. It was late, their last delivery, and they'd stood there holding it up while I made more room (exactly as wide as doorway, so k**b in the way, stuff behind ...). So I said I'd do it and sent them on their way. That was February. Doors still backwards cause now it's full.
I've got a 2 door fridge (side by side), so haven't noticed this. Will keep an eye out next time I'm somewhere with a single sided door fridge.
We went on holiday recently and I almost swapped their door round, it opened up away from the wall so if you didn't open it all the way, you couldn't get into it!

Has it occurred to any of you posting all the negative comments, that he's just sharing helpful little 'hacks' or tips he's learned to use, that others may not have known about and can try them out for themselves. I've been putting sheets on beds for half a decade and until today I didn't know the tag is on the lower left of the fitted sheets! And putting salt in a pan with hot oil in it is a helpful tip for anyone who's just learning to cook, no matter their age. Sheesh, so much negativity from so many... it's discouraging to see here.

I did find the one about the dishwasher interesting. I had no clue it had a filter. I grew up overseas in a third world culture that didn’t have almost any of the technology I now have in the United States, including a dishwasher and a dryer. I had left the US when I was 8, so, when I first came back to the United States for college a few years ago, even though I was coming from a family that are citizens from America, I had no idea how to use a dryer or a dishwasher - even though I was 19. So, I find some of this stuff really interesting. Thanks!

You can’t see it in the screenshots, but in the video it’s him making fun of himself for not knowing these things. Of course not everyone is this ignorant, that’s the point. You get some videos of him being ignorant, and some of actually useful tricks.

Many young people don't learn to fend for themselves because they aren't interested in learning... and many parents allow their children to be like this by enabling their "learned helplessness". Most soon learn on their own as the need arises, though.

Sometimes it looked like he was just milking basic stuff for filler, like the wooden spoon to stop overflow, but some of this was good info! My husband and I weren't homeowners until fifteen years ago. Still on our first home, we're learning there is a lot of stuff we should have learned about and been don't all along and we are trying to catch up now. This week we're repairing our washer. It's been way out of balance and, once taken apart, we found a lot of wet lint deep in it. I think it will be fine now that it's cleaned, but we had no idea that there is a filter to be cleaned. I recently started treating our cabinets with beeswax, such a difference. We obviously should have been doing it all along, but had no idea. The travel pillow on front? I didn't fly regularly until my thirties. It was a few summers of flying home before I realized that one.
It's a good thing he's pretty, because he's hardly the brightest bulb in the box, is he? Poor dear.

The guy is just showing others some of the things he's learned in life that come in handy for him, and he's sharing some of his helpful hints to others who may not have anyone else to teach them things. I'm a lot older than a lot of you and I've never seen tongs used to juice a lemon before, so I don't have a juicer, and I'm going to try it! Sounds like a good idea. And the salt in the hot oil of a skillet is a helpful tip, too. Why knock every single tip with such ugly, negative & 'judgy' remarks? His home looks very clean, I didn't see "up his nostrils" and I think he presented a few helpful tips for folks who'd like to learn something new to help them navigate thru some of lifes mundane chores.
