They seem, at first glance, photographs, but they are not: they are acrylic and oil paintings. Concentrating mainly on dead lives, the work of american Sandelands-Strom can impress anyone with its realism.
It is amazing how she can get to the screen the deep wrinkles in one hand and minimal details of objects. The artist’s works usually incorporate tattoos. Surprisingly, she somehow managed to master the way a tattoo disappears over time.
