I traveled to Italy to create a project that narrates the stories of various abandoned places throughout this country.

Turning your own city it's not difficult to discover many neglected, unique houses. I decided to examine and revive the glory of Italian architecture by photographing villas, churches, castles, and hospitals, which were abandoned by all, even by memories.

I have embarked on some extensive travels throughout Italy, looking for places full of stories, unique interior designs; places that have been inhabited and then left to oblivion, to the domain of dust.

The result has left me shocked. I could not imagine the charm and beauty of some of these haunted houses I've discovered along the way.

Houses still furnished, where you can almost hear the sounds of the past lives. Large frescoed rooms that give a sense of glory and majestic evenings. And abandoned psychiatric hospitals, full of emotions and experiences of the distinctly different spectrum.

It's hard to put into words the emotions that pervade when I cross the threshold of these places. I created this cool photo project in order to transmit to viewers a feeling of awe, wonder, and surprise, all mixed with a turmoil of sadness. Then these sites will come back to life, only in our imagination.

The paintings are not bad. I wonder how come they didn't fade or get covered in more dust.

I was surprised too. :) In my country (Finland) all TV broadcasts have been many years digital only so people with older analog signal televisions had to buy digital television adapter to continue watching TV. So the urban explorers here usually do not find old TVs that they can just turn on and watch. Also the electricity is usually cut off from the abandoned places...

The chairs and couch are really very elegant. A good clean and they’ll look great in the most modern apartment.

Very nice room, it must have been even bore beautiful before it was abandoned. I imagine the owners were either rich or very talented (or both).

funny how the pram is not covered with the debree falling from the ceiling. must have been a coincidence. Many of these pictures look very staged. the television with pavarotti on is just weird. It takes away from the shots.
