The full saying is "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the waters of the womb"
Meaning your church family in Christ is stronger than you Blood family. Unfortunately I've experienced this firsthand, my church family loves me more than my real one

Ergh. “It is what it is.” It’s an enabling phrase to let people get away with bad behaviour. I’d go into a rant about family members, but no one needs that negativity!
