Hi, my friends! My name is Marcel Caram. I am a digital artist, and I live in Brazil.

I create digital art in Photoshop. Many people ask me if I use some 3D programs. I answer no. I only use Photoshop.

I like to draw and I always liked the unique art of surrealism since I was kid. The surrealist masters as Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, and De Chirico have always caught my attention. The influence of them in some of my works is evident, more specifically, Salvador Dalí's paintings. Many people want to know how my painting inspiration comes. I say that many things can inspire me. An object beside me or a scene that I see happening can inspire me for a beautiful painting. In fact, I think that anything can be an inspiration for the surreal digital paintings, but the most important thing is the feeling. I hope you'll all enjoy it. Thank you.

ohh I did not know my formatting would be ruined upon posting. I wrote 3 separate theories in that post, in case of confusion. Still, love this piece.

I'm stuck on this one. I can't figure it out. It's about thought and ideas. The big light has the illusion of being unlit because it blends with the floor, so it goes unnoticed while the "lesser thoughts" shine brighter. Or the biggest idea died. And instead of innovating it, the guy immediately moves on to think of new ideas, wasting its potential. Or everyone is so busy trying to find out how the lights work, they ignore the available evidence right in front of them because "it isn't lit therefore it must not matter".. "or have any relation to the lit lights". Their ignorance is making them take longer to find truth behind the source of light. I love this piece so much.

I especially like the sky, and the way it seems like the earth is casting 'shade' off of the clouds and vice versa. All of your work is really beautiful. And even though it's similar to Salvador Dali it's still very unique and requires it's own interpretation. So far #s 2, 6, and 11 are my favorites, but it looks like I still have alot more to see! Do your pictures have titles, or are the #s always the same in representing your artwork (rather than randomly at this time on this site)?
