Two years before I was born a younger sibling was still born and two years after another sibling was a miscarriage. The ultrasounds know what both genders are but the hospital policy says I can't see the records as it would be a HIPAA violation. I just want to know what gender my siblings would have been. Should they let me see the records or at least look at them themselves as I would have been there sister?

Because they are your parent's medical records, you would have to get their permission to access those records. I recently got a referral to genetic counselling but I couldn't do that until my mum gave formal permission for the gp to list her family history in the referral. It seemed silly, as mum was the one who suggested the whole family go in the first place, but the gp was constrained by the law.
