12-Year-Old Scientist Reveals Evidence Linking Vaccines To Autism
69Kviews
Despite an overwhelming mountain of research to the contrary, anti-vaccine advocates still maintain that vaccines can cause autism. A documentary called Vaxxed released last month also makes this case by linking the condition with the MMR vaccine. Whether or not there’s any truth in these claims, we have no idea. All we know is that vaccines have saved millions of lives around the globe and stopped the spread of such diseases as polio and smallpox. Still, we’re not scientists. But Marco Arturo, a 12-year-old from Mexico is, so we’re going to listen to him.
P.S.: if the video doesn’t play, use this link.

Point one: Correlation does not imply causation. There is a positive correlation between the amount of ice cream you consume in a given month, and the likelihood that you will die from drowning in that month. The numbers don't lie. That's because, in warmer weather, you are both more likely to be swimming and more likely to eat ice cream. Correlation? Yes. But ice cream doesn't cause drowning. Second, even if this kid's evidence were perfect, it isn't peer reviewed, and it flies in the face of what other, reputable scientists know. So if you're prepared to accept a 'scientist's' word on the issue, then listen to the majority, and shut up. Logic! Why don't they teach logic in these schools!
Watch the video. I was all ready to skip the video and go straight to make a comment about the hundreds of scientists who have actual degrees and careers who have debunked this stupid myth about a link between vaccines and autism. Then I decided I should actually watch the 2-minute video to see what the kid actually says before I comment. Glad I decided to watch before I spoke. His folder of evidence "proving a link" is nothing but a bunch of blank pages. He sets it up nicely for the complete bait-and-switch imploring people to get their kids vaccinated and get over themselves.
ther's a definite correlation between the people who ACTUALLY WATCH the video and the type of comments they add.. and yes I think we have causality
Why don't you watch his video before you comment? He makes a very good point. Get your kids vaccinated!
People.... watch the flippin' video. It's a bait and switch to reel in the anti-vaxxers. If you are a reasonable human being, who understands that the science has completely debunked the myth that vaccines are linked to autism, then watch this video. You will be pleasantly surprised. It's only 2 minutes. Just watch it all the way through. I promise, your ire will be soothed.
I love when I read that the doctor and PhD obviously didn't watch the video but made a comment.
I hope Jenny McCarthy and the rest of Hollywood's no-nothing's watch this young man
