Prince Harry Snubbed By King Charles As He Praised William During Windsor Castle Speech
Britain’s King Charles made a statement at a state dinner lauding his eldest son, Prince William, and the attending French president, Emmanuel Macron, but did not mention his youngest son, Harry.
The omission comes mere months after Harry told the press in an interview that he “would love a reconciliation”—a statement that has since fallen on deaf ears at the palace.
- King Charles publicly praised Prince William at a state dinner, omitting any mention of Prince Harry.
- The omission follows Harry’s May interview, where he expressed a desire to reconcile.
- Royal insiders say William opposes Harry’s return and is influencing the King's stance.
The 76-year-old monarch dubbed it “appropriate” that William, the Prince of Wales, occupied Windsor Castle, amid reports that he (William) is behind his father’s cold shoulder towards Harry.

“The Castle in which we meet this evening was begun by my ancestor — and your sometime countryman — William, Duke of Normandy, in the year 1070,” the King, Charles, told his 150 guests.
“It remains the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world,” he said, reading from a prepared speech.
“So it is perhaps rather appropriate that my son, the Prince of Wales, who shares that earlier William’s name, has made Windsor his home with his family, like so many of our predecessors.”

Charles’s list of compliments skipped along to Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Bridget, saying there had been a strong friendship between France and the UK during the fortification’s existence. As was noted by many, he completely omitted any mention of Harry.

On May 3 this year, the British outlet reported him saying that he “would love a reconciliation” with his family.
He also said that he did “not know how much longer my father has,” as a nod to the King’s cancer diagnosis in February 2024.
Harry claimed that his father would not speak to him over his personal security detail qualms and went on to say that, despite these reconciliatory sentiments, he and his family were unlikely to live in the UK.

Experts have since weighed in on Charles’s silent treatment of his youngest son, claiming that he would love nothing more than to have the 40-year-old back in the fold.
“Of course, he [Charles] would like Harry to be the prodigal son and come back, and would be much happier if William and Harry were friends again. But he realizes that is just not about to happen,” Royal biographer Ingrid Seward wrote in her book, My Mother and I.
The press has since also heard that William has been a major influence on his father’s treatment of his younger brother.

Following Charles’s diagnosis in February 2024, UK outlet The Mirrorcontacted the palace for commentary on Harry’s 24-hour visit to the country and heard:
“Whatever has been discussed between William and the King is private, but it is absolutely and categorically clear that [William] would not allow Harry to return.”

Social media has since weighed in on the development.
A Facebook news snippet in which local outlet, Entertainment Daily UK, describes Charles’ omission of Harry during his recent speech as a “snub,” garnered support for their King.
“Snubbing Ginge [short for ginger, alluding to Harry’s hair color] will be good for Charles’s health,” wrote one person.

Another saw logic in the monarch’s treatment of his two sons, saying: “Of course William is working member of the Royal family and doesn’t winge like Harry.”
One fan saw a life lesson in the so-called snub and wrote: “King Charles is right.
“We must remove toxic people in our lives, not because we hate them but because we love ourselves,” before concluding, “KC [King Charles] need[s] peace for his recovery.”
The internet is siding with King Charles

King Charles didn't snub Harry at all. It's just that there is no need to mention Harry because he's irrelevant. In any royal family, it's the monarch and the heir who are, politically and constitutionally speaking important. The need to mention Harry is even less since Prince William has children as well. This means the chances that Harry will somehow become monarch are close to non-existent. This is a state banquet, a political event in which Harry has no place. It's not a family dinner. Of course Harry is King Charles' son, but people need to make the distinction between private and public, as does Harry.
Well said. He is effectively irrelevant in all things that matters. He's not even the spare anymore.
Load More Replies...Okay? Harry does not want to be associated with Royals anymore. He lost a court case with security & he's done with UK. I don't understand why you are constantly trying to associate Prince Harry & Meghan names with those attention seeking nobodies in United Kingdom. Move on.
Harry should be pleased, ignoring him is way more pleasant than anything that could truthfully be said about him.
