I love it! The.. I got you in the front ma! Can I hitch a ride if I promise not to fall off? What a loveable and kind dog! I have a dear friend, that had a lab, from puppy hood. Whenever I visited, he was my constant companion! He would even sleep in my room, or crawl in to be with me, along with their cat, and it would be three from sweet dreams most nights! When the lob got too old to hop on the bed, he'd come in, sniff me, and give a face lick( I sleep hugging the edge of the bed), and settle down as close to me as he could get! Made me feel loved, like nothing else. The devoted love of any pet, is truly one of the best gifts I'll ever receive!

Aww labs really are the best. The one in the pic isn't mine, I don't have one of my own unfortunately, but I see her every year at a lab rescue dog show. She belongs to one of the lab rescue ladies, along with the spaniel and another black lab. This photo was taken 3 or 4 years ago, but it's the same every year. This year I went over to say hi to them, and all 3 were so excited to see me (I really did feel special lol) that they all tried to climb out onto my lap at once! The spaniel won the coveted place on my lap this time, fortunately she's a little lighter than the lab ☺️

One night, when I was pregnant with my son, (nearly 50 years ago) I couldn't sleep so I layed on the settee. When I woke up in the morning, my Dane, all eleven stone of him, had managed climb over me and sleep on the other side. How he climbed over without waking me, I'll never know 🤫

I had a German Shepard named Tasha years ago. I raised her from 8 weeks old and she was always in my lap as a puppy. She too never outgrew the need to be as close to me as possible, even when she was 80 pds and did not fit! *L* Best dog I ever had.

Yeah...I don't advise letting a small toddler hold the leash of a giant sight hound. If that dog sees something it wants, that kid is flying. Sight hounds, like Great Danes, Greyhounds, ect are naturally drawn to chase prey. I know a woman that had 50 years experience trainng Great Danes and showing them dislocate her shoulder and break her arm because her dog saw a squirrel. So imagine what would happen to a small child. This is foolish behavior.

I think she's a greyhound.(could be wrong though) My hound is 30 inches tall (at the shoulder) 5ft 7 inches from snout to end of tail and weighs 35 kilos. To be fair, Castro's a male.

It's called a neuter. Responsible pet owners do this for many reasons. One being pet overpopulation and the thoysands of dogs euthanized daily. Another are health reasons. If neutered before 6 months, they are almost 100% not going to get prostate cancer or issues. They are less likely to fight. They are less likely to try and break away to find a mate or wonder away. They are also less likely to lift their leg on everything in your home. How do people not know about this in 2017?

So sad! To be honest, I think they should stay with their mother and littermates until they are 10 weeks old. Mum teaches discipline (she won't take any nonsense) and littermates teach each other socialisation.
