From A Coffee Cup, To Multiple Water Bottles, Game Of Thrones Gets Caught Failing Again
99Kviews
The Game of Thrones cast and producers knew that not everyone would be happy with how the saga ended but they probably didn’t expect the finale to go viral over another set design snafu. Remember the star of the episode “The Last of the Starks,” that lone coffee cup sitting in front of Emilia Clarke? well turns out there were more drink easter eggs to be found in this final HBO series season.
During the finale episode, fans set Twitter on fire after they spotted rogue plastic bottles sat at the feet of two different actors in the same scene. At this point, it appears the Game of Thrones set people made more mistakes than Tyrion Lannister.
Game of Thrones went viral again for more beverage mishaps

The water bottles first appear at 46:19 on HBO Now and then reappear over the course of several minutes. Peeking out behind the foot of actor John Bradley who plays Samwell Tarly is the first bottle.

A fan was quick to spot out the beverage scandal 2.0
But as it turns out there wasn’t just one drink oversight
Another fan pointed out there was a second plastic bottle

Which was sat behind Ser Davos’ chair, in-between him and Gendry.

Fans were shocked that the set people and editors had managed to make the same mistake again

In response to the previous coffee cup error, HBO released the written statement, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake, Daenerys had ordered a herbal tea,” and edited the cup out of HBO Now and HBO Go, which we assume they will do with the water bottles. Executive producer Bernadette Caulfield took a more apologetic tone in her responses to the last of their funny fails and said she was shocked. “I can’t believe it,” she told WYNC. “Our on-set prop people and decorators are so on it one thousand percent. I just honestly can’t, I’m like, is that really? Because nowadays you can’t believe what you see because people can put things into a photo that really doesn’t exist. But I guess maybe it was there, I’m not sure. But, yeah. We’re sorry!”

However, Caulfield also told NPR in an interview that these TV bloopers happen, and “if that’s the worst thing they’re finding, then we’re in good shape.” Still, fans had their opinions on such continuity errors and Game of Thrones bloopers.

Jon later starts his own line of bottled water from the cold streams of the far north
This one was almost not visible. Is someone literally going frame by frame and "finding" these things?
Nectar of Nestle is really a thing in Westeros. Its right next to the Star bucks
I am so bloody sick and tired of these posts. If you didn’t like the season, nobody was forcing you to watch— I feel like I’m reading Buzzfeed anymore where people don’t think critically. I will probably get a downvoted for this comment, but I actually liked the ending and it made sense based on the books- even beggars, bastards and broken things can be kings were Tyrion’s own words at the start of the season. I’ll be waiting to be burned at the stake now by angry fans...
The evil monkey who lives in my closet forced me to watch GOT by putting a snub nosed 38 to my head. Does my critique matter now since I was coerced?

Bill, you may want to crawl back into your troll hole.
I can’t believe how many people in the posts didn’t watch the post credits where Dany is still alive in that rock nest thing with the other dragon eggs
I won't burn you at the stake. I love that you said what you said. Negative people are just very unhappy people that feel it necessary to point out the flaws in everything else in life to take the attention off themselves. I loved the entire show!!
It's not just you, BP went down the Buzzfeed rabbit hole a while back. While this final season was rushed, I liked the outcome too. It followed the logic of the world GRRM built and made it clear that life continues for the surviving characters.
I completely agree... Instead of focusing on these little glitches, people should remember that this was a series that had much more depth, and visual mastership than sooooo many of the "blockbusters" in the cinema. I admit, I had that "that looks so much like a coffee mug" moment, but it didn't bothered me, as I was overwhelmed by the whole story happening - Danny feeling isolated, ignored, after all the sacrifices she made... But last night only someone that was already over 20-seconds-attention-span induced by overusing Instagram or Twitter would notice those mishaps... I'd like these critics to self-asses with the same critical eyes their own work. Wondering, how many paper cups they''ll find?
I just like how that blonde actress (no I don't know her name nor do I care) threw the props people under the bus like she did not see it on the table before the scene started.
I ain;t sure if I should laugh or cry this time :x
I can't believe people out there actually have that much time on their hands to pick stuff like this out.
I don't watch Game Of Thrones but if you are seriously looking for stuff like this rather than enjoying the show, you need to get some kind of hobby.
I wonder how many of the outraged 'fans' actually spotted the water bottles and how many saw the first tweet and then jumped on a band wagon?
10 years of living and breathing Game Of Thrones and they turned it into a fucking MEME! Fuck you D & D!
In the first photo I thought the problem was his boot is falling apart, if you walked in that boot in the snow you'd be in serious medical difficulty quite soon. = not just frost bite but frozen ankle = gangrene/amputation.
I don't even know why they even bothered to shoot this season. The writing was not worth the efforts and hard work of the actors and other crew members. By forgetting so many modern items in the scenes, the d&d has shown people how little they cared about the final season and how much they wanted it to be over.
I really wasn't paying that much attention to their feet. Apparently I missed all the subtle nuances in that scene.
People are so negative. Why on earth do you find it necessary to point out every single persons or shows flaws? Can't we just talk about how amazing some parts were. How about when they show Dany walking out and the dragon rises behind her so it looks like she had dragon wings. It was a gorgeous scene!! Let's talk about how our favorite character LIVED thru the show! So happy!! It was an amazing show and I'm so sorry to see it end but I wouldn't have missed it for anything!!
Maybe by this point the set crew didnt care. The only thing worse then people proclaiming GoT to be a masterpiece...are those that look for the stupidist of flaws..fans need to get a life
