I have just launched a new side project called TypoSpective. It is a typographic experiment employing very limited tools on a mobile phone device.

This project is a collection of daily-used words designed in minimalist and expressive forms. It gives words a space to perform and to interact with the audience, while avoiding visual distractions and complications. The audience is the main player in this project. Creative perception and mental montage animate the static state of written/drawn words.

TypoSpectives invites the viewer to look at words from a different perspective and to see in their written forms new meanings and representations. To see the words move in its stillness and hear their sounds when it’s mute.

I created this site for myself and for others who want to build on the his idea. My aim is to push this concept to new boundaries while always keeping away from complicated graphical rendering.
