Some people just know how to make us smile, and Rupert Fawcett is definitely one of them. The artist behind the much-loved Off The Leash comics perfectly captures what it feels like and looks like to live with (or be) a dog.
Rupert's drawings are simple yet full of expression, paired with captions that sound like they’ve come straight from a dog’s thoughts. If you missed our previous posts featuring his earlier works, you should definitely check them out.
Now we’re happy to present the latest collection of dog cartoons from the series. Enjoy a few minutes of pure joy, because life’s always better with a bit of canine humor.

ALL our dogs did this even though I was the one who fed them, watered them, walked them... (I'm the one sitting on the left.)
Mine does it at bedtime, but she's the one who ends up sliding off her warm spot. 😊

Load More Replies...We had a cocker spaniel that couldn't resist pinecones. If she came across a pinecone on a walk she'd pick it up, carry it all the way home, and deposit it in the yard. We lived in a pine forest then. We had a yard full of pinecones.
you know the face that kids do, when they want to convince you, they have nothing in the mouth? that's Lou with bark pieces that he will only drop in the hall. He thinks he is so sneaky, but you can totally tell

Seems that most dogs will tend to run toward the person who feeds, grooms, and goes on vet visits with them—-tasks that mom usually ends up doing, mostly because everyone else shirks their responsibilities, so the dog bonds more with her. My dog is the same, though she will pay some attention to my husband, though mostly when he gets overly generous with treats or gives her scraps from his plate, which are two things I don’t do (and because of that she never begs from me, though she does stare down my husband—-because she knows she can get him to give in, even though it totally screws up her digestion, yet another thing mom looks after).
Also leave chasing down and catching that fly that got into the house. Our dog can see and chase them but loses sight of them and can’t catch them when she does see them. We have one cat who is a master of tracking nd catching flies or any other insect that gets inside. However, she does eat them after playing with them for a bit. We don’t know what she’d do with a mouse if she ever caught one, though she has tracked and located them for us. My husband is in pest control, so he takes care of the ones she has located.
