Genocide of any sort is an extremely sensitive topic that some even consider taboo and avoid touching the subject altogether. However, one should never turn a blind eye to the atrocities of the past with an excuse that what happened years ago should be left “where it belongs” – in the dusty pages of history. Adopting such an attitude poses a risk of repeating the same mistakes our ancestors did.

Recently someone shared their opinion on a Reddit thread, expressing their sympathy towards genocide of the indigenous people, implying that the technology of the modern days justifies the deaths of millions. Another person was having none of it and replied with a strong message which sparked a huge debate between other users.
