I have always loved the vintage or retro aesthetic, but was afraid to embrace it or stand out.

Once I hit the age of 40 and lost my mother, the realization that life is too short and too precious to be wasted on worrying about what others might think of me. I embraced my inner quirkiness and started dressing in a way that made my soul happy. This is the result.

I gradually started accumulating bits and pieces to make my wardrobe and about a year and a half ago started dressing this way, head to toe, full time.

I like to mix reproduction pieces with some true vintage accessories and support small local artists with accessories whenever possible. I do not make my own (except some brooches and hair flowers).

Here’s a small sampling of some of my outfits. I know the look is not for everyone, but I hope to encourage others that it’s okay to be unique and be yourself, and to do things that make you happy.
